Gabriel Lisowiec stood out as a top linebacker at the Next Showcase in Illinois this weekend. Standing at 6’0″ and weighing 195 pounds, his impressive size for the linebacker position immediately caught my attention. Once the drills stared, he demonstrated exceptional skill in individual drills, showcasing both agility and strong fundamentals. Lisowiec truly distinguished himself during the 1-on-1 segment of the combine displaying his ability to cover. He will be headed to IC Catholic Prep for the upcoming season, renowned for its track record in developing top-tier talent.”
Joshua Larsen Joshua Larsen 6’5″ | 315 lbs | DL IL is a man amongst boys at 6’5″ and 330 pounds. He is one of the biggest linemen in the class of 2028 in the country. At the Next Showcase in Illinois, he dominated on both sides of the ball. He stood out during 1-on-1’s where he was able to stone-wall pass rushers along the offensive line and run through would-be blockers on the defensive line. Larsen’s future will be along the offensive line as an offensive tackle. As he develops, he should be a blue-chip offensive lineman prospect. He will be headed to Chicago Hope next fall.

Ronald Smith Jr
Ronald Smith emerged as the top quarterback at the Next Showcase in Illinois. He displayed excellent footwork in individual drills and showcased a strong arm. His timing and accuracy stood out during routes on air with the receivers. For a 2028 quarterback, he exhibits great size and athleticism at the position, qualities that most quarterbacks don’t possess yet. As he enters his freshman season at Morgan Park next year, he will be a name to remember for the coming years.
Anthony Balduaf was a top performer among a talented receiver group on Saturday. Balduaf ran smooth, crisp routes and displayed natural hands. He stood out during 1-on-1’s, separating from defensive backs with his speed. At 5’10” and 174 pounds, he already has good size for a wideout entering high school. As he continues to polish his skills as a wide receiver, the ceiling is high for Balduaf, who should be a top prospect in his class.
