PRZ Next Combine Texas: 2029 Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Texas boys came out deep for the Prep Redzone Combine series held at the beautiful facilities in Nolan Catholic High School. I can honestly say there were some DOGS in Ft. Worth this weekend and they came from all over the state. I was able to watch him in reps against the linebacker group in Cat and Mouse and this youngster definitely held his own. Haggerty has good quickness and burst at the point of attack. He also displayed his catching ability against the LB group in 1v1s. He ran the routes well, although they were held to 10-12yd route package. Smith was making some tough catches throughout camp. I didn't get to see him making a ton of separation, but he was going against some very good older DB's. With that said, he was still able to get open or go make 50/50 ball plays. His footwork is nice for his age and he has a solid build which helps him body some of the smaller receivers. During drills, Pride, was able to keep up with the '28s with no problem. He showed that his feet and hips moved fluidly and his back pedal was on point. 1v1's displayed his ability to shoot his hands in the press and reroute the wideouts. He was in full send on every rep. I am pretty sure I saw him give up his body on multiple occasions in order to make the catch. Lacey showed great Effort, Attitude and Toughness during this camp. He was making plays on every reception that I saw. I've said it previous write ups, but the defensive backs that he had to face were more than solid at their positions, so to see him shine on Saturday says a lot about who this young man is and what he's capable of growing in to.
