The Prep Redzone South Carolina Combine was held on Sunday afternoon at Fort Mill High School where prospects in the class of 2025 to 2027 took part. There was a portion of Sunday's session where each position got to spend one-on-one time with a position coach, looking to improve their craft and pick up on things that can help them improve their game.

Here are some of our notes from the session:

Defensive Backs

[player_tooltip player_id='1043170' first='Wynn' last='Meetze'] | Gilbert

Meetze did a good job with his back pedal and he moved quickly to flip and turn his hips and change direction. We were also impressed with how he maintained good eye discipline. [player_tooltip player_id='1070603' first='Clarence' last='Springs IV'] from Batesburg Leesville did a good job of changing direction and exploding out of his position.

[player_tooltip player_id='617663' first='Kaleb' last='Simpkins'] | Strom Thurmond

Simpkins did an excellent job of moving and taking great angles while playing under control.

Quarterbacks

[player_tooltip player_id='320881' first='Zacobi' last='Riley'] | First Baptist

Riley displayed good footwork and an ability to set his feet and the result was accurate throws. The same can be said for Gray Collegiate's [player_tooltip player_id='232668' first='Tyler' last='Waller'] (see below tweet).

https://twitter.com/tylerWaller13/status/1787280210594853115

The mechanics were good for [player_tooltip player_id='1149048' first='Jack' last='Bick'] from Legion Collegiate – we liked his ability to plant his foot in the ground before he released the ball.

Routes Versus Air

We were impressed with the swivel on the throws that came from Greer QB [player_tooltip player_id='600452' first='Kaden' last='Rowland']. The ball comes out smoothly. You'll want to keep your eye on Rock Hill QB [player_tooltip player_id='809751' first='Ian' last='Grissom'] (pictured above) as we progress into next fall. He has a rocket for an arm and he is accurate with the throws. Carolina Forest QB Kameren Long threw a great ball where the receiver could run right underneath it.

Although he was listed as a defensive back, Beaufort's [player_tooltip player_id='816748' first='Isaac' last='Smalls'] saw some action at receiver and he ran a post route full speed to where he ran to the middle of the field and caught it for the touchdown.

A pair of Northwestern wide receivers made plays – Tadarrian Knox did an excellent job of adjusting to the ball on a long throw we saw, while [player_tooltip player_id='753896' first='Jayden' last='Nichols'] ran an excellent route up the pike to make the completion.

Clover TE [player_tooltip player_id='402485' first='Cameron' last='James'] showed good hands on an out route, and caught it with his eyes and hands.

Running Backs versus Linebackers

Chesnee LB Jayden Williams displayed a good burst and speed and a solid cut in the hole while North Augusta RB [player_tooltip player_id='402503' first='Michael' last='Doe'] did a good job of making people miss in the hole, while [player_tooltip player_id='1254058' first='Jordan' last='Conner'] at Ben Lippen made a good tackle in the hole.
