CLAYTON | There was a portion of Saturday's Prep Redzone North Carolina Combine where each position got to spend one-on-one time with a position coach, looking to improve their craft and pick up on things that can help them improve their game.

Here are some of our notes from the session:

Quarterbacks

[player_tooltip player_id='473849' first='Jysen' last='Shepherd'] | Martin County

Shepherd showed good pocket presence in moving his feet. The drill was designed for the quarterbacks to flip and turn their hips and make the throws planting their feet. He has impressive athleticism – the ball comes out smoothly.

[player_tooltip player_id='651120' first='Cooper' last='Pleasants'] | Wakefield

We were impressed with the velocity on Pleasants's throws and his ability to hit the target after he planted his foot and made the throw.

The next drill for the quarterbacks was one where they had to make throws under pressure. But since there wasn't any live tackling, the coaches in the drill simulated it. [player_tooltip player_id='856683' first='Zachary' last='Evans'] from Westover was a standout from what we were able to see. He did a good job of getting depth to turn and make an accurate throw where they had to roll out to their left in a later drill.

Hank Nannery from Orange had a strong release on his throws during the drill as well.

Offensive Line

[player_tooltip player_id='574937' first='James' last='Napier'] | Garnet Magnet

Napier had a good first step moving and striking the target. His lateral vertical step was impressive as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1252926' first='Luke' last='Cecil'] | Orange

Cecil had a good stance in moving his feet to strike the target.

Kaeden Groseclose | Graham

Groseclose showed good knee bend and drive, moving with his right foot to strike the target. We saw the same thing from [player_tooltip player_id='1272816' first='Alexander' last='Luebke'] of Athens Drive.

Routes Versus Air

[player_tooltip player_id='451872' first='Cayden' last='Roscoe'] | Patton

Roscoe did a great job of looking the ball into his hands as he ran his routes at full speed. The same can be said for [player_tooltip player_id='483642' first='Immanuel' last='Collins'] of Shelby, who garnered MVP honors for his performance at Saturday's combine.

[player_tooltip player_id='1272117' first='Damarius' last='Mckoy'] | Clayton

Mckoy (pictured above) was one of our standouts from the afternoon. He ran a solid route during RVA to make a completion. He can high point the ball and make the catch. He also does a good job of adjusting to the ball to make grabs.

Okie Edwards | Kinston

Edwards did a good job at the top of the route to make the catch and stack the defender so he couldn't have a chance at knocking the ball away.
