If we’re giving our camp MVP awards, here’s the winner. Wells blew away the coaches and scouts in attendance. He has major arm talent, was super accurate downfield, and had pretty darn good timing, even throwing to receivers he was not familiar with. He read DBs well, and flicked the ball into buckets with little effort. Talking to people familiar with him, they say he is just as dangerous on the ground, and is working his butt off in the weight room. If he plays to his full potential, Brighton is going to be an incredibly tough team to beat this fall.

As far as DBs went today, this kid was a big standout. He was able to stay on the hip of his receivers, stay with them deep, and play the ball through the hands of the receiver, I loved how reactive he was, and how quickly he was able to change direction. He had multiple solid reps against some really good receivers and he came away as the winner. Great showing overall for the Melvindale crew today.
I said the other day that I was pumped to watch Brayden, and I was not disappointed at all. Running quick and clean routes seemed to be 2nd nature for Platt, and he showed a ton of concentration to make some impressive plays. He seemed very comfortable cutting and changing direction, and impressed with his hands. I can’t wait to see how he is utilized this fall, as he still seems to be a threat from a variety of positions!

Juback was very fun to watch once again. His ability to adjust to the ball and concentrate to bring in tough catches was very stellar. There were many times I saw him running good routes, but I think that will be a focal point for him going forward. His speed was nice to see, and I didn’t see Jaiden drop anything all day long! I would really like to see him in a live game this fall.
Guadagni had another fantastic showing in Brighton today. As he has advertised online, he is getting bigger and working on his physique a ton. His lateral movement was great, his balance looked great, and his explosiveness looked even better than the last time I watched him. Every rep he ran, he ran to 100%, and college coaches noticed how well he moved, and he even left with an offer. I think he is in for a ton more before long.

Brady did an amazing job today. He creates huge mismatches, and I know a few college coaches in attendance really liked what he had to offer. His release both in line and outside were nice, his attention to detail on his routes was there, and even though it was just shorts and shells, you could get an idea of his physicality. His hands were good, his catch radius was wide and his ability to box out his defender to get position was pretty much unmatched today. A great showing today has his stock soaring in my eyes.
