With spring under way, the Falcons have some quality talent in all classes and the loss in the opening round of the state playoffs to Rockledge (19-16) will only be a motivator to run it back again this coming season.
Remember, this is a team that posted four consecutive shutouts to start the season and six in the 11 games, so there is plenty of talent on board.
With a full off-season planned, it’s the rising senior class (2025) who will lead the way.
Check out some of these 2025 standouts:
CLASS OF 2025
Julius Puryear Julius Puryear 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Jensen Beach | 2025 FL , DE/LB, 6-2, 220 – 3.4 GPA.
COACH CAFFEY ON PURYEAR: Julius played as a true freshman. Great motor, smart, strong, and instinctive. Will be highly recruited before he leaves next year. Has offers from University of Toledo, FAU, Western Kentucky, App State, ECU, Eastern Michigan, Fordham, UTEP, Delaware, Wofford, and Cornell.
Easton Scott, S, 6-1 205 – 3.5 GPA.
COACH CAFFEY ON SCOTT: Hard hitting safety/rover. Has size; is a rangy, smart kid who covers a lot of land fast. Plays his position well and takes a lot of pride in trying to continue the tradition of All-State safeties who have played for this program.
Carlos McCormack, Athlete/DE, Safety, 6-1, 200 – 3.39 GPA
COACH CAFFEY ON MCCORMACK: Carlos burst onto the scene in his sophomore season and turned into one of the most disruptive edge rushers in the area. In total, he made 85 tackles and impressively forced seven fumbles, recovered six fumbles, and added 13 sacks and 19 tackles for a loss. Motor that is on 100 mph every single play.
Johnny Ahern, QB/WR/DB, 6-4, 170 – 3.4 GPA.
COACH CAFFEY ON AHERN: Here is a long, rangy athlete with legit 4.49 (40) speed. Has the ability to take the top off defenses adding to his versatility. Has the ability to make you miss in the open field then accelerate fast. Extremely strong arm – very accurate with deep ball he is a true dual threat at the quarterback position. Transferred in from Stuart South Fork.
Johnny Delancey, DB/WR, 6-1, 190 – 3.25 GPA.
COACH CAFFEY ON DELANCY: Here is a speedy (4.49 – 40) prospect who is a dual sport prospect that is a long, rangy athlete who is very good at baseball also. Another kid who can play any skill position on the field.
Tanner Hughes, OL, 6-2, 275 – 3.74 GPA.
COACH CAFFEY ON HUGHES: Strong at the point of contact, loves to drive block – good with hands. Old school tough will battle through the whistle. Baseball prospect.
UNDERCLASSMEN SET THE TONE FOR THE FUTURE
While the Class of 2025 will provide talent, experience, and leadership. Look for the gifted underclassmen to also make a statement. Here are four players to keep an eye on:
CLASS OF 2026
Brayden Rambo, DL/LB, 6-0, 215 – 3.15 GPA.
COACH CAFFEY ON RAMBO: Absolute junk yard dog. Gritty, hard-nosed old school scrappy kid. Very strong and quick. He will battle for every play and every blade of grass on the field. Starter since freshman year.
Anthony Cole, DB/WR, 6-0, 185 – 3.5 GPA.
COACH CAFFEY ON COLE: Here is a big, strong, and physical prospect who brings plenty of speed and quickness to the field. Very instinctive and smart. He has a chance to be one of the best defensive backs on the Treasure Coast.
CLASS OF 2027
Alex Thornton Alex Thornton 5'11" | 180 lbs | LB Jensen Beach | 2027 FL , OLB/DE, 6-1, 205 – 3.5 GPA.
COACH CAFFEY ON THORNTON: Talk about a future standout, this physical talent is another 14-year-old who will be highly recruited. Has a very athletic body and is a very smart and instinctive player. Loves contact and is an explosive tackler.
Jake Tell Jake Tell 6'1" | 195 lbs | DL Jensen Beach | 2027 FL , OL/DL/TE – 2.87 GPA.
COACH CAFFEY ON TELL:
For someone who played a role as a backup on the varsity squad this past season, this is yet another tough, hard-nosed, and versatile football prospect with a motor that never stops. Loves to hit and is strong at the point of attack.
