Top athletes from around the state will compete Thursday, Friday and Saturday at LSU’s Bernie Moore Stadium.
And many of the events include notable football standouts, including some college-bound signees in their final high school events.
Here are several individual events to monitor Saturday as Class 4A helps wrap up the busy weekend.

JUMPS (AND MORE)
The Class 4A jump events are loaded with football athletes.
The long jump is particularly football-heavy in particular the long jump led by Evangel Christian’s Roy Morris Jr. (23-01.50), Lafayette Christian’s Trae Grogan Trae Grogan 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Lafayette Christian | 2024 State LA (22-11.00), Istrouma’s Ky’ree Paul (22-03.50), St. Michael’s Preston Sentino (22-03.50), Warren Easton’s Miles Torres (21-06.00), Northwood (Shreveport)’s Duntavious Young (21-01.50) and Archbishop Shaw safety Jordan Evans Jordan Evans 5'10" | 170 lbs | DB Archbishop Shaw | 2024 State LA (21-00.00).

Huntington quarterback/athlete Landon Gibbs Landon Gibbs 5'8" | 135 lbs | ATH LA (6-08.00) leads the high jump field, which includes Archbishop Shaw’s Corey Waits Jr. (6-06.00), Lakeshore’s Caleb Bourg (6-04.00), A.J. Ellender’s Travon James (6-02.00) and Pearl River running back Tashod Badon (6-02.00).
DeRidder’s Mason Kern (11-06.00), Grant’s Isaiah McKinney (11-06.00), Tioga’s Kaleb Woolery (11-06.00), Salmen’s Camron Robinson Camron Robinson 5'8" | 150 lbs | RB Salmen | 2026 LA (10-00.00) and Loranger teammates Amandre Harris (10-00.00) and Gordon Gros (9-00.00) are among the pole vault competitors.
HURDLES
Westgate defensive back Armidre Evans leads the 110-meter hurdles field with a 14.45-second qualifying time and is among the contenders in the 300-meter with a 40.13-second time.
Northwood (Shreveport) defensive back James Hollingsworth boasts the top 300-meter qualifying time at 39.52 seconds.
Tioga teammates Kadrmas Maximus (15.43 and 39.65) and Wyatt Smith (15.52 and 40.09) are scheduled to compete in both hurdles events.
Cecilia tight end and kicker Jonathan Boudreaux Jonathan Boudreaux 6'3" | 190 lbs | TE Cecilia | 2024 LA (15.10), Teurlings Catholic’s Robert Miller (15.15), Neville defensive back Richard White (15.50), Franklinton athlete Sebastian Magee (16.03) and Salmen receiver Lamarion Walker (16.09) help round out the 110-meter field.
And Salmen athlete Tremon Joseph Tremon Joseph 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Salmen | 2024 State LA (40.64), mentioned above in the triple jump, and Teurlings Catholic defensive lineman Alex Richard (41.22) are in the 300-meter competition.
SPRINTS/RUNS
McNeese State-signed Lafayette Christian standout Treanders Marzell Jr. Treanders Marzell Jr. 5'9" | 190 lbs | ATH Lafayette Christian | 2024 State LA has the top-qualifying Class 4A 200-meter time at 21.51 seconds and second-best 100-meter time at 10.82 seconds.
Other football standouts competing in both sprints include West Feliciana’s Elstron Longs (10.92 and 21.60) and Frederick A. Douglass’ Kendall Washington (11.44 and 22.50).
Westgate athlete Davian Jackson Davian Jackson 6'2" | 170 lbs | ATH Westgate | 2025 State LA (10.94), Grambling State-bound Peabody Magnet star Dartavin Depass Dartavin Depass 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Peabody | 2024 State LA (11.04), Neville speedster Kaleb Vaughn Kaleb Vaughn 5'9" | 160 lbs | DB Neville | 2025 State LA (11.21), North Desoto running back Kenny Thomas (11.37) and Archbishop Shaw corner Dallas Borne Dallas Borne 5'9" | 150 lbs | DB Archbishop Shaw | 2024 LA (11.43) help fill out a football-heavy 100-meter field.
Pittsburgh-bound Evangel Christian standout Tyreek Robinson Tyreek Robinson 5'9" | 150 lbs | ATH Evangel Christian | 2024 State LA (22.32) is among the most notable challengers in the 200-meter dash, along with Neville corner Jaxson Parker (22.36) and L.W. Higgins corner Rashad Landry (22.42) and teammate Roy Morris Jr. (22.51).
Morris, mentioned above as the long jump favorite, will also join Robinson on the Eagles’ 4×100- and 4×200-meter relay teams that include ranked underclassmen Johnny Casey Johnny Casey 5'9" | 155 lbs | DB Evangel | 2026 State LA Jr. and Nathan Green Nathan Green 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Evangel Christian | 2026 State LA .
In addition to his 200-meter entry, Parker enters the 400-meter run with the best time in the field (48.43) and will compete in Neville’s 4×100- and 4×200-meter relay teams with Vaughn, White and company.
Northside’s Latrell Johnson (48.81), Huntington’s Preston Summage (48.89), Minden receiver Porter Neal (49.83), Lutcher’s Trenton Chaney Trenton Chaney 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Lutcher | 2025 LA (50.11), the aforementioned Torres (50.49) of Warren Easton and Ben Franklin’s DeVonte Trask (50.68) join Parker in the 400-meter field.
The Willow School’s Anthony Allen (1:58.20), North DeSoto safety Dylan Compton (1:58.35), South Lafourche’s Cesar Gonzalez (1:59.36) and Neville’s Logan Ozbun (2:01.12) are among the 800-meter runners.
Several of those sprinters and mid-distance runners will also compete in their schools’ various relays.

Southeastern Louisiana-bound Belle Chasse standout Jaedon Voisin Jaedon Voisin 6'2" | 240 lbs | ATH Belle Chasse | 2024 State LA is the only athlete slated to compete in multiple throws with qualifying distances of 42.26m in the discus and 48-08.00 in the shot put.
