Fayetteville Spring Standouts Part 2

The defending state champion Fayetteville Bulldogs finished off spring practices last Friday. We are going to highlight several players that had strong performances during the spring. The Bulldogs have plenty of young talent coming up through the ranks and fall practices should be interesting over the next couple of months. Here are a few players to watch out for as the summer starts to heat up.   [player_tooltip player_id='1278415' first='Will' last='Caston']-Linebacker-Fayetteville-2027   Fayetteville always seems to have talented linebackers coming up through the ranks. [player_tooltip player_id='1278415' first='Will' last='Caston'] fits that description perfectly. Caston plays with impressive speed and has no trouble getting away from blocks. He does a great job of putting himself in position to make the tackle. Caston has the quickness to drop back into coverage and play pass coverage. He has the potential to do big things on Friday nights in the future. Caston is a prospect to keep an eye on over the next couple of seasons for the Bulldogs.   [player_tooltip player_id='360155' first='Jaxon' last='Oliver']-Defensive Line-Fayetteville-2025   [player_tooltip player_id='360155' first='Jaxon' last='Oliver'] is a versatile defensive tackle that has no trouble plugging up the rushing lanes. He is coming off of a strong 2023 season where he used his power and speed well. Oliver can drive opposing offensive linemen into the offensive backfield. He had another strong showing in the spring game, last Friday night. Oliver is attracting recruiting attention and is a prospect that will see playing time on Saturdays in the future. He is a player to watch out for this fall.   [player_tooltip player_id='392413' first='Christian' last='Battles']-Running Back-Fayetteville-2025   Fayetteville has talented running backs that will all see carries this fall for an explosive offense. He is a running back that can rush between the tackles or cut the run down the sideline. Battles can catch the ball out of the backfield. He is a dangerous receiver that is tough for the opposing defense to account for on the field. Battles has the potential to have a strong 2024 season for the Bulldogs.   Jaison Delamar-Wide Receiver-Fayetteville-2025   Jaison Delamar is an explosive wide receiver that is dangerous on the vertical routes. He has great speed and can slice up opposing defenses using his mixture of speed and route running. On Friday night, he hauled in numerous explosive plays and found the end zone. He is a wide receiver that has no trouble creating separation from opposing defensive backs. The multi-sport prospect is a player to watch out for this upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='1227560' first='Michael' last='Solis']-Defensive Back-Fayetteville-2027   The Fayetteville secondary always has talented prospects patrolling the secondary. [player_tooltip player_id='1227560' first='Michael' last='Solis'] is a defensive back that has no trouble playing opposing wide receivers aggressively. He does a great job of playing the ball while it is in the air. Solis can separate the ball from the ball carrier and cause incompletions. He reads the play well and has the ability to jump routes and pick off passes. Solis is another prospect to look out for over the next couple of seasons with the Bulldogs.
