I am still discovering new Canadian talent by the day so as we continue to update these rankings more and more prospects will be added. Additionally, several prospects will be shifted into starting roles and those prospects continue to jump on my radar throughout the spring and summer in preparation for the high school fall season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150106' first='Pepe' last='Gonzalez'] - André-Grasset

Gonzalez is the top QB in CEGEP and right now my #1 guy in all of Canada checks all the boxes. Gonzalez has the arm talent, measurables, and athleticism to compete at the next level and he showcases some of the best anticipatory throws in the country. Gonzalez has some really impressive arm strength and the ability to push the ball vertically with velocity. He is a dynamic athlete who can escape the pocket and make plays with his feet past the LOS although he is not the type of quarterback prospect you build a run game around. He moves well enough to escape and make plays when he needs to but predominately distributes the ball from the pocket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1210684' first='Glenn' last='Valentine'] - John Abbott

Valentine, who holds a spot in the top 5 is a very intriguing prospect with a really high ceiling. Valentine shows good poise in the pocket and does a great job of extending plays and making throws on the run. Valentine is one of the better athletes at the position in the country and showcases the ability to make guys miss past the line of scrimmage. Valentine has the measurables at 6'3 200lbs. Valentine flashes some arm strength and when throwing on the run showcases the ability to really push the ball down field. Valentine is more of a dual-threat than most of the other quarterbacks in this class and is one of the more dangerous quarterbacks when it comes to impacting the game through the air and on the ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='1117828' first='Dylan' last='Kress'] - St. Andrews

Kress is a good-looking QB prospect at 6'1 205 and the St. Andrews signal-caller is a really solid decision-maker. Kress showcases on tape the ability to move defenders with his eyes and hit guys in windows of zone coverage. Kress does a solid job of hitting the first open target and is not hesitant to pull the trigger in a little bit of traffic if his receiver has an opening. Kress is a solid athlete who can make guys miss in the backfield and pick up some yards on broken plays but is not as much of a true dual threat. His skillset lies in making good decisions with the ball in the short and intermediate areas of the field and allowing his receivers to make plays after the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='887042' first='Kohen' last='Bohnet'] - George McDougall

Bohnet out of George McDougall has the biggest frame of any QB I have evaluated in this class. Bohnet has a smooth quick release and often working from shotgun showcases the ability to get the football out quickly with minimal dropback. There are a couple of good reps of him throwing on the run and he can generate good velocity on his throws while moving because of his natural arm strength. Bohnet is a long-stride runner who can make plays and once he accelerates can get by some defenders with speed. Bohnet is efficient as a passer in the short area of the field and I would like ot see him start to push the ball down the field more vertically and expose us to another aspect of his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='881426' first='Parker' last='Orr'] - Vancouver College

Orr is one of my favorite watchlist quarterbacks and is on the watchlist because his most recent film is from the 2022 season. In that 2022 film, Orr was extremely accurate over the middle of the field showcasing the ability to throw with anticipation and make some tight window completions. Orr is accurate and showcases good footwork in his dropbacks and a quick release. He is a prospect I like but need to see updated film and with that, as Orr develops if he can develop a more level 1 type ball with velocity on it he is a name to watch come rankings update time.
