Ruiz is coming off a strong junior season for the Medicine Lodge Indians. He is a versatile athlete who lined up all over the place last fall. He threw for 2,029 yards, rushed for 411, and made 23 receptions for 340 yards. He accounted for 31 total touchdowns, throwing 19, running for eight, and catching three touchdown passes. Ruiz is a playmaker and ranked No. 131 overall in the Prep Redzone Kansas Class of 2025.
Aden Alvarado Aden Alvarado 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH Ulysses | 2025 State KS , ATH, 5’10”, 160, Ulysses, ‘25
Prep Redzone has Alvarado ranked No. 237 overall. He is a run-first quarterback who could also be a solid weapon in the slot moving forward. During his junior season, he threw for 700 yards, rushed for 947 yards, and caught four ball for 81 yards. He ran for six touchdowns in nine games for the Ulysses Tigers and threw for four scores. His speed and high football IQ are the qualities that make him a prospect to watch moving forward.
Zane Farney Zane Farney 5'11" | 175 lbs | RB Sterling | 2026 State KS , RB, 5’11”, 175, Sterling, ‘26
The Sterling Black Bears have an under-the-radar running back to take notice of. Farney has back-to-back seasons of 1,000-plus yards and could finish with more than 5,000 yards rushing for his high school career. As a freshman, he rushed for 1,204 yards on 204 carries. During his sophomore season, he gained 1,506 yards on the same number of carries. He has scored 28 rushing touchdowns in two seasons for Sterling and is currently ranked No. 41 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026.
Owen Just Owen Just 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Minneapolis | 2026 State KS , QB, 6’0”, 170, Minneapolis, ‘26
Just, is justly ranked at No. 120 among his 2026 Sunflower State peers. The Minneapolis quarterback threw for 1,418 yards and 13 touchdowns in nine games last fall. He also ran the ball for 174 yards and two trips to the end zone. The Lion signal-caller is poised for his age and will have the opportunity to gain a truckload of experience before his high school career is over.
Cooper Ohnmacht Cooper Ohnmacht 6'0" | 155 lbs | ATH Great Bend | 2027 State KS , ATH, 6’0”, 155, Great Bend, ‘27
The Great Bend Panthers have a young offensive weapon to track. Ohnmacht played in nine games as a freshman, a high number of varsity games at a Class 5A school. He made seven receptions for 119 yards. It’s unclear which offensive position will become his primary one. He did take a few varsity snaps at quarterback.
Jeremiah Miller Jeremiah Miller 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Lincoln | 2027 State KS , QB, 6’1”, 170, Lincoln, ‘27
Miller is a quality two-sport prospect for the Lincoln Leopards. In eight games last fall he threw for 490 yards and rushed for 526 yards. He accounted for 17 total touchdowns running for 10 and throwing for seven. Miller also made 14 receptions and took that route for two more scores. Miller is currently ranked No. 51 at Prep Redzone and is a talented basketball prospect.
