A Hayfield junior whose tape is certainly garnering attention, yet I think his overall recruitment status tells a head-scratching story. No offers to his name despite a great GPA, tape that checks out, as well as measurables that meet the thresholds/pre-requisites for potential D1 pass-rushers. Boasts a seven-minute tape on Hudl encapsulating all the reps that made [player_tooltip player_id='1228862' first='Ian' last='Hall'] a 1st-Team All-Region and District edge rusher. 14 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 12 TFLs tacked on. Hand usage is a huge plus, can witness Hall using numerous moves, many of which aren't pre-determined before the snap. Can counter if his bull-rush doesn't hit. Can work off his post/strong arm, witnessed chopping the hands of weak tackles. Hand usage and arm length have this kid winning reps more times than not. Explosive hips, Hall is forcing tackles onto their heels and off-balance thanks to said explosion off the ball. Inside moves, outside moves, primarily stationed in a four-man front, a 4-3 traditional edge rusher who is going to be a serious problem at the next level once he improves his lower body strength. Hall fits right in with some of the best pass-rushers the state of Virginia can provide. Skills and traits would translate to OLB easily, in my opinion, would lessen the urgency to put on 20 pounds. Someone needs to invest in this young man's game, likely will be worth your while.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-661206f09a9a5"} /-->

Ranked inside the top 150, top 20 at his position, Oscar Smith's [player_tooltip player_id='1231248' first='Jordan' last='Rayner'] is another name I will be throwing at college coaches recruiting un-offered 2025s. Rayner is a HS DL prospect who can penetrate from every single alignment. On tape, you'll see him align anywhere from 4-3 DE to 4-3 DT. Leverage use and strength makes Rayner a servicable DL that can align shading either guard, as well as strong-side tackles. Next-level position will likely depend on his weight at the time, and if his college coaches want him to bulk up or slim down. A rep on tape shows Rayner BR into the backfield, recognize the pass to the flat, release and get on his horse to track down the BC 20 yards downfield. Looked like a OLB here yet he's pushing 250 pounds, an athlete for sure. Majority of reps come in support of the run. Like his projection to 3-4 DE at the next level. One of the seven unoffered DL whose tape I deemed worthy of scholarship offers earlier this month.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-661206f09a9f7"} /-->

Ranked him just outside of the top 100, yet inside the top five at his position. Many of the best OLBs in the state are ranked at u0022ATHu0022 so that might skew his positional rank a bit, but rest assured, there aren't 10-15 backers in the state who show off better tape. Bishop Ireton's [player_tooltip player_id='1230220' first='Amari' last='James'], on the cusp of standing at 6'3, boasts a seven-minute tape on Hudl. LOS/EDGE skills are displayed immediately, stationing at OLB and running through a TE and back that were supposed to block him. Twitch and speed are calling cards, this is a natural athlete who can hunt and pursue as if he knows the offenses play call. Can be asked to play inside, is witnessed covering the deep middle. Has a great feel for zone runs when aligned strong-side. Breaches the OL unit after comboing lateral and downhill agility, James is a fantastic finisher at the BC I might add. I provided an FCS grade, here's to hoping the young man tests well at the camps he attends this spring/summer.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-661206f09aa39"} /-->

Goad will likely have to see other dominoes fall in terms of names on the boards of decision-makers in Virginia. All of this didn't stop me from ranking him inside the Top 150. One spot away from a top-ten positional rank, Goad made sure to play on a level that would keep potential doubters quiet. Packs a tackling punch that I did not expect, his build certainly doesn't suggest it either. Says a lot that Maury trusts Goad to stay aligned between the guards as ILB/OLB in a 4-3. His style of play leads me to believe that if programs don't like him at WILL or SAM, they could certainly use his run-stopping prowess at Safety. His first rep on tape illustrates he can drop into passing lanes and intercept passes. A move to safety doesn't call for INT production, but it's nice to see that he can work 45-degree angles into the middle of the field. A timely blitzer, a ferocious finisher, Goad stacks up well among LB peers, pound-for-pound. I'd take a chance on this young man.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-661206f09aa77"} /-->

Has the smarts and awareness to station at nickel. Crump's ability to be a factor in both the pass and run gamse make him an ideal fit as a roamer in the front-seven. Can be deployed as a standard OLB in a 4-3, can play nickel, can guard the inside or outside slot. Is a flash to the football, you can almost see his Ru0026amp;R skills click/spark on tape, you can see him play-rec in real-time thanks to his twitch toward the football. One of the tougher DB/LB to block if you're a TE/WR or RB, Crump winning his matchups make him an immediate game-changer while on the field. A 6'2, stout run defender with brains to react to passing concepts on the fly, you can see why I ranked him among the FBS and FCS level recruits in his class. Likely an OLB prospect, his measurables already translate to that position well. Seeing him work in the open-field should excite coaches who deploy OLBs that have to drop into the secondary occasionally.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-661206f09aab4"} /-->

A true corner, one who relies on technique and leverage to define his game, not so much athleticism. Gar-Field calls a great blend of looks on defense, so you can find Blacker wreaking havoc in press or off-man coverage. Witnessed using leverage and positioning skills to his advantage, he's the u0022right place at the right timeu0022 corner who coaches can likely trust in terms of post-snap assignments. Just when you think you have a technician at DB, Blacker shows off some flat cover skills, blowing up bubble/WR screens before they can get going. A top 100 prospect in my eyes, not too many holes in his tape. His rep at the 1:15 mark shows off his ability to break on the ball. Blacker trust his technique, you can see him work his backpedal, open, and break, all of which look smooth. His weight transfer skills are on par with some of the better DBs in the state. Handsy while in phase, manages to stay on the balls of his feet until the last second, there's a lot to like out of Blacker. He's one of 15 DBs I placed inside the top 100.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-661206f09aaef"} /-->

His stature screams EDGE of course, yet there aren't too many 6'6, 230-pound OLB prospects who can move like Churchland's [player_tooltip player_id='1231246' first='Jekai' last='Lee']. Lee's first rep on tape is a pick-six, his next rep on tape is a strip sack. A turnover creator, multiple fumbles forced after reaching the QB/BC, two interceptions to his name as well. Very surprised schools offering VA 2025s haven't called this young man yet purely off potential. That would be the case if his tape was sub-par, if his measurables weren't up to standard, yet these aren't the case. I'm unsure if he's a multi-sport kid, if his grades are in order of course, yet his tape and athletic profile speaks for itself. A top 15 LB and EDGE prospect in my opinion. Can play at the LOS or off, hand in the dirt or off, yet majority of tape he's working with hand off the turf. A project that should have coaches drooling.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-661206f09ab2a"} /-->
