Ethyn Boyd Ethyn Boyd 6'3" | 250 lbs | OL Pojoaque Valley | 2025 State NM , Pojoaque Valley: Boyd was one of NINE Pojoaque Valley to make the long trip to Grants (about 2-1/2 hours each way) and Boyd was named one of the best offensive linemen at the Combine. A rising senior, Boyd has good size at 6-foot-3, 247 pounds. Also a standout wrestler and track athlete.
Cardenio Chavez Cardenio Chavez 5'11" | WR Grants | 2026 State NM , Grants: A rising junior (2026), Chavez ran the 40 in under 4.7 seconds and looked good running routes and catching the football at Saturday’s Combine. He possesses good height (6-0), so if he continues to grow and develop he could become a legitimate prospect.
Kaleb Hutchens Kaleb Hutchens 5'10" | WR Bloomfield | 2026 State NM , Bloomfield: Hutchens had 24 receptions for 356 yards as a sophomore for the Bobcats in 2023 and Saturday he put those skills on display. Solid receiver. Between QB Blake Spencer Blake Spencer 5'11" | 155 lbs | QB Bloomfield | 2025 State NM , Hutchens and others, Bloomfield should again have a high-powered offense in 2024.
Dominic Lucero Dominic Lucero 5'7" | 140 lbs | QB West Mesa | 2025 State NM , West Mesa: Lucero earned Co-MVP honors at quarterback along with Kelly Stevens Kelly Stevens 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Las Cruces | 2025 State NM of Las Cruces. He’ll compete to replace Elijah Brody Elijah Brody 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB West Mesa | 2024 State NM at QB for the Mustangs.
Noah Lundstrom Noah Lundstrom 5'11" | DB Grants | 2025 State NM , Grants: Lundstrom is a rising senior defensive back for the Pirates. He made several good plays on Saturday. That shouldn’t be surprising considering he’s made 86 tackles and intercepted 5 passes for Grants in his first two years with he varsity.
RJ Montoya RJ Montoya 5'8" | 170 lbs | QB Hope Christian | 2026 State NM , Hope Christian: The Huskies had six players at Saturday’s Combine, a testament to the coaching staff. Montoya is a dynamic dual threat QB and he was rated by the coaches as one of top signal callers at the Combine.
Ke’Maurion Morrall, Alamogordo: We identified Morrall as a player to watch at the Combine and he performed up to expectations. He’s a 6-foot-0, 225-pound DE for the Tigers and he looks ready to enjoy a big senior year after earning First-Team All-District honors in 2023. He’ll soon be on the recruiting radar of college coaches.
Christian Powell Christian Powell 6'1" | 230 lbs | DL Valley | 2025 State NM , Valley: Powell and teammate Juan Vigil Juan Vigil 6'5" | 285 lbs | DL Valley | 2025 State NM both impressed at Saturday’s Combine. Powell isn’t as big as Vigil (few players are) but he’s a legit 6-foot-1, 235 pounds and plays with high motor. Valley is going to have a nasty DL this coming season with Powell and Vigil.
Daniel Quinones Daniel Quinones 5'8" | 170 lbs | WR Eldorado | 2025 State NM , Eldorado: Quinones has already been offered by New Mexico Highlands, but more offers could be forthcoming after his impressive performance Saturday. Quinones runs well (4.6 in 40). Eldorado looks ready to make a playoff run in 2024.
Zach Waghorn Zach Waghorn 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Albuquerque Academy | 2026 State NM , Albuquerque Academy: Statistically, Waghorn brought strong credentials to Grants as he made 120 tackles and 7 sacks as a sophomore for Albuquerque Academy in 2023. He showed Saturday at the PRZ Combine that those impressive stats were no fluke as he was rated as one of the top LBs there. Good speed and quickness.
