We’ve already dove into the rosters of MPSSAA champs Decatur (1A/2A), and Fort Hill (1A), today we are looking at the MIAA B conference private school champs Concordia Prep.
Jones led the team with 94 total tackles on the season, he added a sack, 5 TFL’s, 2 interceptions and a blocked punt to the stat column. He’s a well-rounded linebacker prospect that can drop into coverage and make plays on the ball, and he flies to the ball in the run game, can chase down perimeter plays and meets ball carriers between the tackles. Allen-Jones has a knack for sniffing out the ball in a crowd of dust, those 94 tackles shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Robinson has emerged as go to guy in the pass game for next season. He’s on the verge to be a real deep ball threat, he turns on the jets off the line and shows breakaway speed after. The junior receiver isn’t all flash, he gets to work in the run game and helped open up some holes for his ball carriers last season. Robinson ended the season with 8 receptions and 3 touchdowns, with his longest play being a 58-yard bomb. So far his recruiting trail has been quiet but with a few more of those big plays that he gave us a glimpse of expect his recruiting to heat up as long as his production grows in the 2024 season.
Stewart is dominant off the edge, he’s one of the best defensive linemen in the MIAA. He has the explosiveness, size, and strength to play edge, inside or outside linebacker. This past season Stewart recorded 45 tackles, 9 TFL’s, 8 sacks, 2 interceptions and took one 50 yards for a touchdown. Stewart has 11 offers including West Virginia, Pitt, and Virginia Tech. Expect a few more schools to come knocking, after another season leading the defensive line.
Mitchell’s recruiting stock is on the rise fast, he has almost 10 offers including West Virginia, Penn State, and Virginia Tech most recently. His ceiling is high with his size and athleticism, he breaks tackles after the catch, and even had a few receptions from the receiver position. Run blocking is a strong suit for Mitchell, he racked up over a handful of pancake blocks, both in the box and lead blocking.
Anderson is a fast athletic linebacker who can cover down field in coverage. In the run game he can shed a block in open field and meets ball carriers before they bend the edge of the defense. He just landed an offer from Maine earlier this month, we could see a rise in his recruitment, he has the size, and athleticism to make even more of an impact next season and even could turn some heads this camp season.
