While the Longhorns won two of the first three games this past season, every player and coach on this team understands that if you don’t work year-round, getting to the .500 mark will be tougher.
The objective after the season ended was to hit the off-season with optimism and make an effort to attend as many events as they could and work hard in the weightroom.
As some prospects played other sports, many opted to condition, play 7-on-7, attend line events and visit colleges and universities.
With spring just a few weeks away, the rising senior (2025) class fully comprehends that it’s their turn to step up and lead. It is a role that everyone needs to accept.
Remember, while football is a team sport, what each individual does to get better will reflect on the entire team.
Here is a look at some of those 2025 players that have an opportunity to help the program start to turn the corner:
Jamarie Clarke, LB, 5-9, 180 – 2.45 GPA.
Gavin Fields, RB, 5-9, 170 – 2.9 GPA.

Dorian Burns, Athlete, 5-11, 180.
Junior Clayton, DB, 5-9, 164 – 2.8 GPA.
Jaiden Jones, LB, 6-0, 200.
