Here is a look at five more defensive prospects who finished with 100 or more total tackles. All of them are in the Class of 2026 and one plays for a six-man program.
Coaches and athletes feel free to DM suggestions for the Class of 2026 rankings at @KSScoutDeck or email information at deckscoutks@gmail.com. I need full name, height, weight, position, and high school to consider a player for the rankings.
Cass Smith Cass Smith 5'10" | 165 lbs | LB Trego | 2026 KS , LB, 5’10”, 165, Trego, ‘26
Smith finished with 105 total tackles for the Trego Golden Eagles. He was disruptive in the backfield finishing with two quarterback sacks and 10 tackles for loss. He also recovered a fumble and had two pass breakups in 10 games.
Carter Jermark Carter Jermark 5'7" | 165 lbs | ATH St. John's/Tipton | 2026 KS , ATH, 5’7”, 165, St. John’s/Tipton, ‘26
Jermark had a solid season and comes from a strong “Bloodline” of football players. He recorded 104 total tackles during his sophomore campaign. Thirteen of his tackles were TFLs and he added three quarterback sacks in nine games. On the offensive side of the ball, he made 13 receptions for 102 yards.
Dylan Ohlde Dylan Ohlde 5'11" | 180 lbs | LB Linn | 2026 State KS , ATH, 5’11”, 180, Linn, ‘26
Ohlde is another two-way prospect in this group and will be added to the rankings in May. He collected 102 total tackles for the Linn Bulldogs. He has a nose for the football as he recovered four fumbles in nine games as a sophomore. He is a dangerous threat offensively as well. He scored seven total touchdowns and accumulated 439 yards rushing and 233 yards receiving.
Tanner Bruna Tanner Bruna 6'2" | 175 lbs | LB Hanover | 2026 KS , LB, 6’2”, 175, Hanover, ‘26
Bruna is a legit prospect at the linebacking position. He finished with exactly 100 total tackles in 11 games as a sophomore. He recorded seven tackles for lost yardage and recovered four fumbles. He has plus speed and will get bigger and stronger with commitment to the weight room.
Diego Perez Diego Perez 6'0" | 165 lbs | LB Golden Plains | 2026 KS , LB, 6’0”, 16, Golden Plains, ‘26
Perez is a versatile athlete who can contribute on both sides of the ball. He finished his sophomore season with 105 total tackles. He also carried the ball 67 times for 413 yards and three touchdowns. He could play running back, slot back, linebacker, or safety. Look for him to debut in the rankings next month. Perez is a prospect from the six-man ranks.
