The top of our rankings features plenty of commits who will play at USports programs across the country. Matter of fact, there are a healthy majority of our ranked players committed to playing at the next level in either America or Canada. Some of these prospects were recruited nationally be programs all around Canada and their play showcases the ability to be early contributors to their programs, while some got love from their regional programs and decided to stay close to home. Regardless, what these guys have in common is their stature in our rankings, all being featured in the top 15.
Brody Munro Brody Munro 6’6″ | 315 lbs | OL G.W. Graham | 2024 State CAD , a massive OT prospect out of G.W. Graham has a long list of accolades and is one of the most dominant players in all of Canada and by our rankings, the top player from British Columbia. Munro will head to play for Western University, one of the most coveted programs in Canada. Western has not lost more than 1 game in a season since ’16/’17 season and part of the reason is their ability to recruit players like Munro. Munro who had interest from Division 1 Schools in America and nearly every USports program was a coveted recruit in Canada and is the highest-ranking USports commit in our 2024 rankings. There simply are not many players in the Country who play with the power, athleticism, and violence that Munro does.
Highlights
Rocco Williams Rocco Williams 6’2″ | 230 lbs | DL Kelowna | 2024 State CAD , another British Columbia native was a top prospect in Canada and he will be playing for University of Alberta at the next level. Williams who had multiple USports offers and did some camps around American schools will bring athleticism and violence to the DL room at Alberta. Williams has high-level quickness off the ball and his ability to read the play close and finish is special enough that I think he could compete for reps right out the gate at Alberta if he continues to add mass and grow stronger.
Ioanni Michalos Ioanni Michalos 6’2″ | 325 lbs | OL St. Andrews College | 2024 State CAD out of St. Andrews in Ontario was another highly sought-after prospect by USports programs and he ultimately will play at Acadia. Michalos is a strong interior OL prospect who is physical and consistently finishes guys to the ground. Michalos has the size and power to be a very impactful interior offensive lineman at the next level and has very impressive senior tape. Michalos looks to be a multi-year impact player for Acadia and will be a consistent prospect who continues to build the program up.
Highlights
Nick Garcia Nick Garcia 6’4″ | 220 lbs | DL Cardinal Newman | 2024 State CAD will be headed to play his ball at McMaster University and the impressive DL prospect was featured as one of the biggest risers in our updated 2024 rankings in an article that includes an analysis of his play which you can find HERE. Garcia has the skill set to be an instant impact player and will look to help McMaster bring the program back to the consistent success it saw before the COVID pandemic.
Adam Dahoy Adam Dahoy 6’5″ | 230 lbs | TE Sturgeon County | 2024 State CAD , the number 1 ranked TE in the country out of Sturgeon High School will play at the next level at the University of Alberta, the same school he received his first USports offer from back in September. Dahoy is a big target who showcases a wide catch radius with consistent hands. Dahoy is a solid blocker and uses his length well in the trenches. Dahoy brings a well rounded skillset to Alberta and his size will make him a viable option at the TE position for years to come.
Asun Ducharme Asun Ducharme 6’1″ | 210 lbs | LB Dakota Collegiate | 2024 State CAD the number 1 linebacker prospect out of Dakota Collegiate will play at the next level for the University of Manitoba. The outside linebacker prospect who hails from Manitoba was one of the hardest-hitting defenders in the country. Ducharme shows the ability to make plays in space and is the type of LB prospect who plays through the whistle always ending up around the ball. Ducharme needs to continue to add strength but judging by his film he will be a player who can have a special teams impact early in his career.
