This overview is not meant to just give analysis on the top skill position prospects in Canada but to outline specific prospects who may have not been included in our new additions or biggest risers articles, but still sit atop their respective position rankings and have the tape that backs up their rankings.
Benjamin Wilson Benjamin Wilson 6’0″ | 180 lbs | DB Clarkson Football North | 2024 State CAD , out of Clarkson Football North is a really twitch man-to-man cover corner who excels in 1v1 matchups. Wilson has fluid hips and quick feet showcasing the ability to close and make plays on the ball at the catch point. Wilson flashes quickness and burst and showcases on tape the ability to turn and run with wide receivers running go routes. Wilson is super athletic and shows the cover skills that separate him as one of the best Cornerbacks in Canada.
Adeniyi a long lean WR prospect from Harry Ainley who is one of the most athletic football players coming out of Alberta. Adeniyi his burst out of his breaks and does a good job of create separation with his explosivness and speed. After the catch, Adeniyi is able to make guys miss with good balance, change of direction, and deceptive speed which makes defenders take poor angles. Adeniyi has good ball tracking skills down the field and shows on tape consistent hands and the ability to adjust and contort his body to make catches.

Evan Lakatos Evan Lakatos 6’4″ | 190 lbs | DB Ernest Manning | 2024 State CAD out of Ernest Manning is a safety prospect who not only has the size to make plays coming down hill and in the box and the athleticism to cover guys and make plays in space. Lakatos has good ball skills on tape and he reads the game really well. Lakatos is frequently the first to the ball and finds angles and gaps to make plays in the backfield.

Dane Hurley Dane Hurley 6’0″ | 160 lbs | WR Holy Trinity | 2024 State CAD , who is headed to play for Toronto next season is smooth route runner with exceptional ball skills and the ability to make contested catches. Hurley showcases the ability to contort his body making tough catches, he shows good awareness working along the sideline, and uses plus athleticism to high point the football. Hurley does a good job of creating separation but his best skills reside in his ability to make difficult catches.
Highlights
Rivest who has a long lean frame, has the size to win down the field. Rivest uses his ability to come down with contested catches using his body positioning and leaping ability making him very tough to cover. Rivest has some suddeness to his movements and does a good job of getting open. Rivest often makes defensive backs bite on his change of direction and change of pace as a route runner.
Skinner a free safety prospect out of Vancouver College. Skinner has good range in zone coverage and does a good job of reading the quarterback. His closing speed to the catch point helps him make plays on the ball and he showcases the ball skills to create turnovers and be a consistent threat to play the ball. Skinner is not afraid to come downhill and put his shoulder through someone.
Highlights
McLean out of Oak Park is a dangerous deep threat who showcases good speed down the field with good awareness on the sideline. McLean may not be the most athletic prospect on this list but he has a great feel for space, smooth consistent route runner, and good hands consistently catching away from his body.
Simon Gravel Simon Gravel DB Thetford | 2024 State CAD has good range as a defender, he showcases a strong ability to move sideline to sideline taking good pursuit angles and finishing tacklers with a physical violent nature. Gravel is effective on special teams and showcases the ability to make tackles in open space. A good safety prospect that showcases good closing speed and makes plays all over the field.
Salanic out of Charles P. Allen is a dynamic WR prospect. Salanic showcases some acrobatic catches and the ability to make tough contested catches down the field. Salanic tracks the ball well and does a good job of timing his jumps to high point the football. Salanic does a good job of using his body and strength to get in good positions and wins 50/50 balls at a 80/20 rate.
Benjamin Perron Benjamin Perron DB Lévis-Lauzon | 2024 State CAD is one of the hardest hitting cornerbacks in Canada and his Senior tape is nothing short of a compilation of strong violent tackles and solid ball skills. Perron plays downhill like a linebacker but has the athleticism to be left 1v1 in coverage. He shows some positional versatility lining up as a corner, slot corner, safety, or even in the box.
