Canada 2024 Rankings: Offensive Line Overview

The big guys in Canada continue to be sought-after recruits by both USports and NCAA teams as they bring size and athleticism to the table. Every single player ranked in the top 10 is an offensive or defensive lineman just showcasing how deep these position groups are. Louison has quick feet for a player of his size and he showcases the ability to move laterally and can block on the move. HIs sheer size and length make defensive linemen struggle to get inside of him and he showcases solid pass pro where his length and foot movement showcase the ability to stay with smaller speed rushers and not let his size be used to his disadvantage. Out of John Abbott in Quebec Fletcher is listed anywhere between 345-400lbs but what is so impressive about his size is the fact that he is 6'11 and even has been listed at 7'0 before. Fletcher just because of his sheer size does not move as well as other offensive linemen but through his career losing weight and becoming lighter in his feet have become evident in his films over the years. Fletcher plays on the interior and he has a strong punch and such a big frame guys struggle to get around him. Francoeur has a strong upper half and his punch off the LOS helps him win at the point of attack. He shows positional versatility by being able to line up on either side at tackle and showcases the movement skill and foot speed to be a high-level pass protector at the next level. Ottosen showcases the requisite power and strength to be a mover on the inside and he has a really quick snap and burst out of his stance. Ottosen can win with this quickness because, at the point of contact, he is at least a step beyond the LOS. I like Ottosen's movement skills and his ability to move laterally and think that his movement to the second level is a big plus at the next level.
