Breaking Down the 2025 Tight End Rankings 6-10

Stay tuned for our 2026 rankings that will be coming out next. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I will be breaking down the fourteen Tight Ends who were ranked in addition to mentioning the seven who made our Watch List. I <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2024/04/breaking-down-the-2025-tight-end-rankings-1-5/">previously covered</a> Tight End Ranks 1-5 that included to two honorable mention ATHs who play Tight End. In this article, I break down Tight Ends 6-10 in our rankings. He displays good receiving skills, showing solid route running on all levels with a knack for finding the open space in coverage to provide an easy target for the QB. His film shows good ability to adjust to throws outside of his frame showing hip fluidity to turn his body and length in his arms to reach out and secure the catch. As a ball carrier, he is elusive with good vision to weave through defenders. His very good competitive toughness shows in his blocking as his film shows him blocking through the whistle, and he will look to make additional blocks downfield after he finishes his assigned block. Shows good bend and solid explosiveness in his Gap blocks with good leg drive, turning the defender out of the hole. He displays good explosiveness and strength, with solid bend and lateral agility. He is a good Gap blocker engaging with good explosiveness and drive to move defensive linemen out of the gap. Able to get to the second level and sustain blocks on linebackers. Can run a basic route tree and displays soft hands to secure the catch. He is a receiving threat and lines up split out, usually playing as the outside WR in Radford's offense. He shows good release off the line of scrimmage into his routes with good route running stem. He displays good hands and physicality to make contested catches and out-jump defensive backs to high-point the ball. He is a balanced Tight End who can be utilized as a run blocker and in the passing game. Solid route runner in a basic route tree with good hands and can turn upfield and gain extra yards after the catch. He is a good Gap and Zone run blocker, showing good bend and technique with good explosiveness in his blocks. Has the athleticism to lead block through a hold and kick out defenders, in addition to sustaining his Zone blocks. Good competitive toughness blocking through the whistle, is not afraid to be physical against larger defenders, and can hold his ground in pass protection against blitzing linebackers. He displays soft hands in the receiving game offering a trustworthy security blanket for his Quarterback running short routes from any position he lines up in. Woodgrove likes to use him in play action and he does a good job at selling his run block fakes before releasing into his routes.
