Here’s a look at the seven prospects in the top 25 who made the biggest leaps to their new positions on the list.
No. 8 Dylan Berymon Dylan Berymon 6'3" | 305 lbs | DL Ouachita Parish | 2026 State LA — 6-3, 305 DL — Ouachita Parish
The biggest leap in the latest Prep Redzone Louisiana rankings update, the Lions’ star is clearly among the state’s top tier of defensive linemen in the class and a disruptive force in the defensive interior. Berymon is listed an inch taller and 30 pounds bigger and put an impressive sophomore season on film as a wrecking ball inside — explosive off the line, overpowering blockers and quickly closing on quarterbacks and ball-carriers.
No. 17 Ke’Rynn Smith Ke’Rynn Smith 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Holy Cross | 2026 State LA — 5-9, 175 RB — Holy Cross
The Tigers’ speedy sophomore running back debuted in the top 25 late last summer heading into sophomore year and climbed another eight spots in the latest update. Smith pairs a solid build and good vision, power and balance with his 4.45-second 40-yard and overall track speed to make him among the state’s most intriguing young prospects at the position.
No. 19 O’Ryan Mosley O’Ryan Mosley 6'3" | 295 lbs | OL Terrebonne | 2026 State LA — 6-3, 295 OL — Terrebonne
Another eight-spot jump from the top 30 into top 20 of the latest update, Mosley is a big, powerful blocker who looks on film to have good feet and overall mobility and to consistently finish blocks with a sophomore highlight reel full of plays on which he put defenders on the turf or several yards downfield.
No. 23 Desmen Jefferson Desmen Jefferson 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Ferriday | 2026 State LA — 5-10, 175 ATH/WR — Ferriday
Another of the biggest leapers on the entire list, Jefferson has climbed the rankings with each update since freshman season — the latest move coming on the heels of a nearly 1,000-yard sophomore campaign. The Trojans’ receiver shows good explosiveness in his release and coming out of his breaks and the ability to make a wide range of catches look easy.
No. 29 Roderick Tezeno Jr. Roderick Tezeno Jr. 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR Opelousas Catholic | 2026 State LA — 6-2, 170 WR — Opelousas Catholic
The Vikings’ multisport standout’s athleticism on the basketball court initially caught our attention as a freshman. And Tezeno added some strong sophomore football film to his résumé this fall, flashing some vertical speed, tracking and overall ball skills on even contested and over-the-shoulder catches all over the field.
No. 41 Kristion Brooks Kristion Brooks 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR Zachary | 2026 State LA — 6-4, 180 WR — Zachary
Brooks, another talented multisport prospect, showed some promising flashes this year on both the football field — with some deep speed and effectiveness downfield, in the screen game and in scramble-drill situations — and on the basketball court — where he developed into a key rotation player for the Broncos’ perennial power basketball team as an athletic wing. He has also worked some at safety this 7-on-7 season.
No. 42 Denim Hunt Denim Hunt 5'8" | 135 lbs | WR Southern Lab | 2026 State LA — 5-8, 135 WR — Southern Lab
The Kittens’ speedy track star has been a steady presence on the Prep Redzone Louisiana rankings lists since the heels of his freshman season. And the opportunity this fall to see the smaller, but dynamic athlete make plays on both sides of the ball, including tackles on defense and tough catches through contact on offense, helped bolster his stock.
