Simon plays mostly as an on-the-ball TE. He is an effective run blocker who engages and continues to keep his legs driving to push the defender backward. In the pass game, he is a big target with soft hands. Can run underneath routes, slants, and out patterns. I am curious to see if Simon will be more involved it the pass game in the Fall 2024 season. He checks all the boxes as a run-blocking TE. He has good acceleration and deceleration to get in and out of his breaks. On offense he plays a hybrid RB/slot WR. He shows the ability to run good routes. Joe has overall good athleticism and plays with 100% effort every snap. He plays with a good pad level and tackles well.  You can't question the effort and passion he plays the game with. Wiggins was a 2023 Southeast Conference All-Star.
