2026 Rankings Update: Rising Prospects Making Their Mark

Gibson is an incredibly reliable player in coverage that can line up both inside and outside to match up well with a wide variety of receivers. Gibson has great size, speed, and athleticism that make him a really valuable and productive player on their defense. He rarely gets beat downfield by anyone and also has the ability to read and react against run plays. Gibson has seen his recruitment pick up a lot recently, he's added offers from Alabama, Missouri, Ole Miss, and plenty more! Mallory causes chaos in the trenches and gets into the opposing backfield nearly every snap. He has a terrific burst off the line of scrimmage, has a ton of strength and speed, and can easily beat offensive linemen to then make plays on the ballcarrier. Last fall, Mallory had himself a heck of a season where he recorded 91 total tackles (16 for loss) 3 sacks, and 6 hurries on the season. With that kind of production, Mallory has established himself as one of the top defensive line prospects in the state's 2026 class. it's only fitting that teams have begun noticing Mallory's talents. Recently, Mallory has picked up offers from Missouri, UAB, and Troy! Barginere is a force in the trenches-  he has great size, a ton of power, and uses his hands to consistently beat offensive linemen and make plays for loss. It doesn't matter if the opposing offense runs or passes, Barginere finds ways to be disruptive each snap. He has a really reliable motor and plays with a ton of effort- it's rare you see him slow down on plays, he's always doing everything he can to stop the ballcarrier until the whistle blows. Last fall, Barginere had himself a really productive season where he recorded 33 total tackles, 5 sacks, and one fumble recovery. As he heads into his junior season, Barginere is going to be a player to watch. On offense, King utilizes his vision, speed, and acceleration to make a ton of explosive plays. King has the athleticism to both shed tackles and make defenders miss as well, in the open field he can cause a ton of issues for defenses with how easy it is for him to break off big plays. When he's on defense, King is a destructive linebacker that does a great job playing against the run. King plays with a ton of speed and agility and is able to make plays all around the field, regardless of where he is pre snap. Last fall, King had himself a huge season where he recorded 106 carries for 901 yards and 6 touchdowns on offense and 95 total tackles (3 for loss, 75 solo) on defense as well.
