Continue ReadingMy Twitter DMs continue to come in, and in this article I continue with with my Twitter Film Analysis where I feature prospects from the class of ’25 and ’26 who have reached out or followed me, as well as some that I notice getting attention on Twitter. I continue to be impressed with the players I watch and look forward to featuring more in the future.
Owen has very good height for a QB and is a pocket QB who can roll out and make accurate throws while on the move in either direction. Shows good accuracy and arm strength throwing a nice spiral. He is able to throw the ball where only his receiver can catch it and does not shy away from trusting them to make a play. He will be leading Monticello’s offense this fall, and you will want to make sure you are keeping tabs on them this season.
Highlights
Julian displays very good speed, good foot quickness, explosiveness, lateral agility, balance, and solid strength. Relentless player on the field as an outside linebacker, working through the whistle on every play. Shows good reaction time to diagnose run/pass reads, with good range to cover from the midfield to the sideline. Shows good ability to shed blocks and stay on his feet with good lateral agility down the line to make a tackle on inside runs. He can also be used in pass coverage showing ability to Zone and Man cover. As a running back, he is a patient runner, allowing his blocks to set up and displaying quick acceleration and good burst through the hole with good balance to stay on his feet with solid elusiveness and has breakaway speed that will outrun most defenders he will face. On top of all that, he is also a punter with a strong leg. Be sure to keep him on your radar this upcoming season.
Highlights
Cole is a playmaker on the field whose name you will hear a lot. He accounted for 107 total tackles, 14 TFLs, 2 FFs, 1.5 Sacks, and 1 INT in 2023. He is an athletic linebacker displaying good athletic traits of lateral agility, balance, speed, and foot quickness. He can quickly read and diagnose a play and be in position to make a stop. He can come downhill and utilize his good athleticism to get skinny in a gap and reset himself to stop the ball carrier for a loss. He is also patient in scrapping overtop as the backside backer to catch any leaks through the first level. Shows solid range to cover from the hash to the sideline on outside runs. He is good in Zone pass coverage, showing good processing of routes and reading of the QB keeping his head on a swivel to make a play on the ball. Be sure to keep an eye on Cole this fall.
