Doing these analysis allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Edward Lake- Georgia Jenkins High c/o 25
5’10 160lbs
Lake is a talented rising senior running back/athlete Prospect. His MaxPrep stats show through 5 games last season he rushed for 295 yards, averaging 8.2 yards per carry, with 2 touchdowns. He also had 10 receptions for 234 yards and a touchdown. He’s a good under-the-radar Prospect coaches need to check out this spring.
Strengths:
- Can play on either side of the ball at the next level.
- Once he sees the crease, he explodes through the hole
- Runs behind his pads and will deliver blows to defenders
Kamari Smith- Haines City High/o 27
5’6 145lbs
Smith was impressive last season as a freshman. He has the ability to be one of the top playmakers in the district this season. In a backup role he rushed for 132 yards, averaging 8.8 yards per carry with a touchdown. Smith is a player that I think will have a breakout season in 2024.
Strengths:
- Versatility to play on either side of the ball
- Flashes the ability to make defenders miss in tight spaces
- Has the acceleration and speed to get to the edge
Jayden Safford- Apopka High c/o 26
5’9 185lbs
Safford is one of the most talented running backs in the district. With the graduation of Apopka’s top two backs, Safford will lead the charge and contend for the district rushing title. Last season he rushed for 181 yards, averaging 4.4 yards per carry, with 3 touchdowns.
Strengths:
- Good at taking contact and keeping balance
- Quick in and out of his cuts
- Patience and vision
Micah McDaniel- Ridge Community High c/o 25
5’11 195lbs
McDaniel is one of the best athletes in the district and could be the best overall running back. He’s a very talented 2 way player that coaches need to head to Davenport, Florida and check out this rising senior. McDaniel gets it done in the classroom as well with a 3.5 GPA.
Strengths:
- Top-end speed
- Great acceleration to get out wide and make big plays
- Nimble runner that can make defenders miss in space
