The Prep Redzone 7v7 circuit made it’s way through Oklahoma this weekend as the second annual Sooner State Shootout took place in Broken Arrow. We had a great weekend of football and saw so many players at all levels making plays both days. Congratulations to our champions of the tournament! TheUNIT Platinum continued their dominant offseason by winning the 18U title. Sooner 7 took home the 15U and 14U championships and had a runner up finish in 12U while Level Up 7v7 would win that 12U crown but they also had teams make the 18U and 15U championship games.

In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on the 14U champions from Sooner 7. We’ve already had a few of their players featured this week from the MVP selection to arguably the best catch of the weekend. Here are three more standouts from the title team.
Braylon Mullins Braylon Mullins 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Southmoore | 2027 OK – 2027 Wide Receiver
Southmoore 2027 wide receiver Braylon Mullins Braylon Mullins 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Southmoore | 2027 OK was a touchdown machine for Sooner 7 in their run to the championship. We got a chance to see Mullins in person for a few games during the weekend and he impressed with his ability to go up and get a jump ball in the back of the end zone. Mullins has been a player that we’ve heard about for about six months now so it was good to see him in person and see what he’s able to do. Mullins is going to be a name to watch moving forward and as soon as this fall. Mullins has good hands, leaping ability and overall athleticism. We definitely want to see more of Mullins this spring and summer.
Caleb Peterson – 2028 Wide Receiver
2028 wide receiver Caleb Peterson is the younger brother of Victory Christian 2025 speedster Eric Peterson Eric Peterson 5'9" | ATH Victory Christian | 2025 State OK and the two have very similar playing styles. The younger Peterson is a speed demon after the catch and showcased that ability several times while I caught the 14U team. Specifically, Peterson was making some big plays in the championship game and helped Sooner 7 capture a second straight championship after they won it all in Springfield the week before. Peterson has had a really good offseason on the 7v7 circuit and we’re looking forward to seeing what he does when he gets into high school. He’ll be a name to watch.
Payton Lang Payton Lang 5'8" | 165 lbs | QB Muskogee | 2027 OK – 2027 Quarterback
Muskogee already has arguably the best quarterback in the state and when he graduates, that might not change. 2027 signal caller Payton Lang Payton Lang 5'8" | 165 lbs | QB Muskogee | 2027 OK had a terrific weekend leading the Sooner 7 14U squad to another championship. Every quarterback had to deal with windy conditions this weekend and it didn’t really impact Lang and how the ball was jumping out of his hands. Lang also played a little defense this weekend and made some big plays there. We’ve heard that Lang is going to be a name to watch in the state’s 2027 class. We finally got a chance to really watch him up close for an extended period and he certainly lived up to the hype.
