Continue ReadingI continue to emphasize regional content on the PrepRedzone Canada site because I love being able to spotlight players from a similar area at one time. In Canada, the hotspots of Montreal, Toronto, and Winnipeg all produce a lot of talent but I have been pleasantly surprised with what I have found on the most eastern provinces in Canada. Nova Scotia is one of the areas where there continues to be talent that impresses me when I watch their tape.

Ray may not have a whole collection of highlights on Hudl but he has individual game postings that show a good amount of reps from the LT position for Citadel High School. Ray has a great frame at 6’4 290lbs and with a lean long build, he combines that size with really good athleticism fundamentals. Ray shows a good bend in his stance and has quick feet at the snap. Ray moves well and does a good job with his initial hand placement. In pass pro, Ray shows the ability to play with leverage and has the movement skills to win against speed rushers. Against the run, Ray blocks with a good motor and can move guys with effort and strength leading to him maintaining and finishing his blocks. Ray can continue to develop as an athlete with more explosive movements to his game but there is a lot to like. Ray is easily one of the top 2025 OL in Nova Scotia.

Gray plays for Horton High School but most of his tape comes from performing for Team Nova Scotia. Gray is a feisty defensive tackle prospect who plays with good upfield burst and good leverage. At the point of attack, Gray uses his hands well and is consistently fighting through blocks. When Gray gets his hands on the ball carrier he shows the ability to finish with good wrapping up and physical tackling. Gray shows consistent motor as he routinely chases plays until the whistle blows. There is a lot to like in Gray’s game, he plays with effort, leverage, and is a frustrating defender for offensive lineman to face. If Gray can continue to add strength, size, and show more violence at the point of attack he will turn into a dangerous defender not just in Nova Scotia but in all of Canada.

Dawood is an intriguing two-way prospect who on tape plays both RB/LB. Offensively Dawood shows really good speed and the ability to turn the angle on defenders. Defensively, at the LB position Dawood may be a little small but he plays with good play speed and the same speed utilized offensively you see on defensive tape where Dawood closes on the ball well from all angles and can make plays in the backfield. As a tackler, Dawood wraps up well and does a good job not hunting for big hits but finishing ball carriers. Dawood can continue to add strength to his game which well help him become a better block shedder. However, with the play speed you see on tape Dawood consistently can make plays on both sides of the ball.

The first half of a WR duo is one of the most dangerous in Nova Scotia and maybe even all of Canada Madden Ross Madden Ross 6’4″ | 205 lbs | WR Bayview | 2025 CAD is the big outside WR target for Bayview. At 6’4 200lbs there are not many defensive backs in Canada who can deal with the size of Ross. Ross is a solid route runner who can create separation at all three levels of the field. He uses his body well both after the catch as a physical runner who has a solid stiff arm and as a blocker who consistently bullies defensive backs. Ross may not have a lot of contested catches on tape but it is because he is consistently open. Ross is a big target with a good catch radius who can create separation which is a combination of traits that make him an extremely QB-friendly WR.

Ty Boone Ty Boone 5’9″ | 160 lbs | WR Bayview | 2025 State CAD , the second half of an impressive WR duo in Nova Scotia for Bayview is a twitched-up slot receiver for Bayview. Boone is a dynamic player with the ball in his hands. His quickness and ability to change direction in the open field make him extremely hard to tackle. Boone is also exceptional with his footwork as a receiver and ball carrier. Whether it is catching balls against the sideline, creating separation, or making small cuts to avoid tacklers Boone has it all in his quick feet. Boone also shows really good hands and has one of the most impressive catches I have ever seen in his first clip in his highlights.
