While that may not sound like an earth-shattering accomplishment to some, this program has had one winning record over the past two plus decades, and what head coach Ian Headley and his staff have done for this program is indeed amazing – to say the least.
While they closed with four losses in five games, the focus was directly on the 6-0 record that this program began the season with. Something that has been simply unheard of for the Sharks, who were 21-111 with seven winless seasons in an extended period.
The turnaround – with Headley was a result of what happened in the off-season, as the program attended everything and competed against some quality programs and athletes – all in the name of improving and finally put together a winning season.
To continue this winning, the rising senior (2025) class will have to continue to step up and accept the challenge of leadership and experience.
That class includes Trent Asble (WR, 6-0, 170 – 2.7 GPA), Dominic Bates (LB, 5-10, 200 – 3.3 GPA), Cole Cooper (OLB, 6-0, 180 – 3.6 GPA), Vory Copeland Jr. (DB, 6-0, 175 – 3.5 GPA), Oscar Mendoza Oscar Mendoza 6'2" | 240 lbs | DL Spanish River | 2025 FL (DE, 6-2, 240 – 3.0 GPA), Sebastian Germain (OT, 6-4, 265 – 3.5 GPA), Terrell Ocean (RB, 5-11, 215 – 2.6 GPA), Jack Taylor (OL, 6-4, 250 – 4.3 GPA), Blake Wallace (WR/FS, 6-1, 170 – 2.7 GPA), and linebacker Evan Wiltse (5-9, 180 – 3.3 GPA).
UNDERCLASSMEN WILL BE COUNTED ON – HEAVILY
As that rising group of seniors will be needed to keep things going, the underclassmen will also have to step up – with the rising juniors (2026) such as Ben Llamas (Athlete, 6-0, 160 – 3.6 GPA), Channing Miller Channing Miller 6'0" | 205 lbs | DL Spanish River | 2025 FL (LB, 5-11, 193 – 4.553 GPA), Jayden Phipps (WR, 5-9, 160 – 3.6 GPA), and offensive lineman Sebastian Wagner (6-3, 180 – 4.1 GPA).
Even the Class of 2027 has gifted performers with Derek Goulbourne (WR, 5-11, 145 – 3.557 GPA), Matthew Raiman, DT/OL, 6-1, 270 – 2.6 GPA), and cornerback Kai Sainmervil (5-9, 151 – 3.5 GPA).
