As teams continue to build their 2025 recruiting boards, we want to continue highlighting juniors who are flying under the radar. These guys have proven to possess the talent to compete at the next level and should be targets to get on campus this offseason.
Check out these four “Under-the-Radar” players you should keep an eye on!
Stephen Owusu Stephen Owusu 6'4" | 275 lbs | DL Omaha Central | 2025 State NE | 2025 | DL | Omaha Central | 6’5″ 350 lbs
Stephen is a player who I believe is a summer away from being on several Division 1 recruiting boards. Although we only saw Stephen in four games this past season, his impact was evident when he was on the field, as he displayed clear next-level talent. He does an excellent job using his size and strength to dominate opponents at the line of scrimmage. One thing you can’t overlook about Stephen’s game is how quick he is on his feet and his ability to fire off the ball. I don’t have much tape from Stephen’s season, but I hope to see him at a camp this offseason to get a better evaluation.
Isaac Pamaran Isaac Pamaran 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE | 2025 | WR/DB | Papillion-La Vista | 5’10” 180 lbs
Papio La Vista’s Isaac Pamaran Isaac Pamaran 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH Papillion-La Vista | 2025 State NE is a player who is surprisingly still flying under the radar despite consistent varsity production since his freshman season. Isaac continued to be an impactful player for the Monarchs last season after racking up 50 tackles, three interceptions, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Pamaran was also an absolute weapon with the ball in his hands, recording 427 receiving yards and 99 rushing yards, and he scored through the air, ground, and on an interception return. I’ve had the opportunity to watch Isaac in person and was very impressed with his route running and footwork. He runs super crisp routes and can get defenders to bite on double moves to create separation. Another thing that stood out about Isaac as a receiver was his explosiveness through his change of direction and burst upfield once he secured the ball. Isaac has also emerged as one of the top safeties in Class A and plays a very well-rounded game. He is fluid and instinctive when in coverage with a quick break on the ball and can use his hands to break up passes when he gets to his mark. He is a very willing tackler who is quick to sniff out the run and make his way downhill to make a play on the ball. Massive upside player who could get recruited at either position.
Luke Van Dyke Luke Van Dyke 6'0" | 180 lbs | LB Skutt Catholic | 2025 State NE | 2025 | LB | Omaha Skutt | 6’1″ 210 lbs
Skutt Catholic’s Luke Van Dyke Luke Van Dyke 6'0" | 180 lbs | LB Skutt Catholic | 2025 State NE is a player ready to step into a big-time role on defense now with the departure of a few seniors. Luke has been patiently biding his time while making an impact in Skutt’s deep LB group. Luke has the projectable size to play linebacker at the next level with a sturdy 6’1″ and 210-pound frame. He is a major asset in defending the run, as he does an excellent job reading his keys and breaking on the ball as soon as he diagnoses the play. Luke can close space very well and shows a nice burst when shooting through his gap. Great tackler when he gets to his spot— physical at the point of attack. Luke has the strength and smart hand use to fight off blocks and continue his pursuit. There have been several schools from all levels keeping in contact with Luke, and he should have a busy schedule this season. Buy stock now!
Kenson Spence Kenson Spence 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR Crete | 2025 State NE | 2025 | WR/TE | Crete | 6’5″ 195 lbs
Crete’s Kenson Spence Kenson Spence 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR Crete | 2025 State NE is an interesting prospect with a ton of upside, great measurables, and very athletic. Kenson had a solid junior season in which he hauled in 15 receptions for 193 yards and scored a touchdown. He is a 6’5″, big-bodied receiver who excels at winning the jump ball and plays with the physicality to match up with anyone. Spence’s basketball background shines through with his ability to box out defenders when going up for the ball. I don’t have an official 40-yard time for Kenson, but from watching his film, it looks like he has the straight-line speed to burn defenders on deep routes. He tracks the ball very well and is very strong through the catch process, able to hang on through contact. It looks like several schools have been in contact with Kenson, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see some offers roll in soon.
