On offense, he played as a wildcat quarterback on designed QB runs and he played as a running back. He flashed an athletic ability to make defenders miss and then has legit speed to run by defenders. I listed him as an athlete because he can play a lot of positions on the football field. At quarterback, he showed off a ton of running skills. He is good on designed run calls where he finds an opening and runs well. When he runs the ball, he turns into a tough and physical runner who is hard to bring down. He is also good at designed sprint out passing plays by throwing on the run. On a few of his pass plays McKinney does do a nice job of setting his feet and throwing the ball.
