Zion Lawson – ATH – Maynard Jackson
An explosive defender off the edge with a promising frame at 6-foot-2 235-pounds, Lawson is easy to notice on the field no matter where he’s lined up. He’s a good athlete and it shows up on the gridiron as he’s able to play multiple positions on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he’s an impressive pass-rusher off the edge who can fly off the snap and attack the quarterback. He plays with a physical presence which allows him to hold the edge, shed blocks, and deliver a sound hit on the ball carrier. He flashes big-play ability and saw a new SEC offer come his way from Vanderbilt. He’s a prospect on the rise in Atlanta and could see more offers come his way this spring. His best football is still way ahead of him, and he opened some eyes with a strong performance during the Atlanta Under Armour Camp in February.
Javin Gordon Javin Gordon 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Stephens County | 2025 State GA – RB – Stephens County
One of the state’s most underrated running backs is finally seeing his recruitment pick up. The 5-foot-9 190-pounder from Stephens County is ranked as the No. 80 overall prospect in the state and earned new recent offers from Indiana and Toledo. Gordon runs hard and does a good job of running behind his pads while staying on his feet after first contact. A physical runner between the tackles, Gordon is tough to bring down if you don’t tackle him the right way. He’s a chain-mover who consistently puts the offense on his back. He can take over games, rushing for 201 yards, 197 yards, 196 yards, 189 yards, and 187 yards while getting to the 100-yard mark seven times in 11 games. He’s one of the top backs across North Georgia and could easily see more offers come his way over the next few months.
Devin Ancrum Devin Ancrum 6'3" | 285 lbs | DL Mill Creek | 2025 State GA – DL – Mill Creek
A quick, powerful defensive lineman to know out of Mill Creek, Ancrum showed game-changing ability at times due to his excellent burst off the snap and his natural power. He’s able to overpower opposing guards with ease, demanding a double-team come his way in order to slow him down. He can blow up any particular play and was a consistent impact defender for an already talented Mill Creek defense. He made play after play last season as a junior, making 49 tackles, 8 TFLs and two sacks. The talent and potential is easy to see, and it’s led to a new recent offer from the North Carolina Tar Heels. If he continues to develop and prove he can be an every down player, Ancrum could dominate in a big way next season as a senior.
