Let me just say there was tons of talent to see in this position group, and I liked that the prospects in attendance were some of the states more under the radar wide outs for our three scouts to get their eyes on. I liked this 2027 class a bunch in this first batch.
Simon Gulbranson, WR, St. Paul Como Park (2027)
An under the radar 2027 wide receiver that stood out to me on Saturday was Simon Gulbranson out of Como Park. Simon impressed me with his dexterity showing off how nimble he was in his reps with twisting his hands to get the best position possible to make a catch. He also showed off use of his athleticism in those high-traffic areas in the reps I caught. A St. Paul Metro prospect I will a await his tape for a further evaluation, but is one to watch develop in the Cougars 2027 class.
Wes Marggraf Wes Marggraf 6'0" | 155 lbs | WR Int Louis Park | 2027 MN , WR, St. Louis Park (2027) Twitter
One of my favorite 2027 wide receivers at the 612Qs Offensive Skills Camps was Wes Marggraf Wes Marggraf 6'0" | 155 lbs | WR Int Louis Park | 2027 MN out of St. Louis Park. This kid passed my eye test early with his overall frame, and his long striding athleticism certainly showed off his growing upside with the fluidity of his release upon getting the ball in his hands. He shows off a WR prospect that I feel even early has a sound football IQ and will likely do some damage in the open field in the coming years for the Orioles. One of the first looks I had on Saturday was on this young man, and he ended up as one of the WR MVPs from camp as well.
Tarique Toure Tarique Toure 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Little Falls | 2025 MN , WR, Little Falls (2025) Twitter
Getting seen is hard at camps, no question, but I don’t think any one of our PRZ scouts in attendance at Concordia-St. Paul didn’t have Little Falls wide receiver Tarique Toure Tarique Toure 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Little Falls | 2025 MN on their radar. The elusive athleticism Tarique possessed was certainly eye-catching as the dexterity he showed off with his change of direction certainly showed out in St. Paul on Saturday. Even for his smaller size at 5’10 170, with his long reach he certainly played well above his measurables when he got in the air. The tape shows off a wide receiver that only needs a small bit of wiggle room to make a catch, as he shows off great range in his hands in high-traffic areas.
Laroy Ngafua, RB, St. Louis Park (2027) Twitter
It sure seemed like the St. Louis Park Orioles 2027 class was flying around everywhere on Saturday in St. Paul at the 612Qs Offensive Skills Camp, which included running back Laroy Ngafua. For an underclassmen, Laroy impressed me with his route running and the balance he showed off with getting his hands on the ball within those routes I witnessed. Laroy is a 2027 prospect that I believe took another skillset with him leaving camp on Saturday, as the tape shows off a running back that shows some sneaky vision on tape and adding him into the passing game could add further to that versatility in my eyes. I like the upside in the coming years on this young man.
Kobee Thielen, RB/ATH, Dassel-Cokato (2025) Twitter
Another Outstate 2025 prospect that shined out at the 612Qs Offensive Skills Camp was Dassel-Cokato’s Kobee Thielen. Kobee was another wide receiver that was heavily sought out by our team of PRZ scouts in attendance, as I love watching the pure athleticism Kobee showed off while tracking down the ball with his route-running as his vision was on point. The tape on Kobee shows off an athlete that has the position flexibility college coaches want to see at the next-level as Kobee is dangerous when he gets into the open field whether off the catch or showing off his change of direction.
Riley DeGraw, WR, Mankato East (2025) Twitter
One of the longest wide receivers I saw in attendance was Mankato East 2025 WR Riley DeGraw. At 6’3 170 pounds, I was highly impressed with Riley’s fluidity when he made his move as a route-runner especially with his vertical once he was in the air. Riley is a WR prospect that has some rawness to his game and very light tape going into his senior season, however upcoming growth in the weight room and getting his junior tape out there sooner rather than later, should open up some eyes at the next-level.
Johan Finne, WR, Saint Agnes (2026)
Johan was another new name on my radar out of Saint Agnes that impressed me on Saturday in St. Paul. Where Johan struck a chord with my live evaluation was the awareness he showed off with fluid and quick rotating his hands to seal better hand positioning for the ball to come in. He is another one that is raw on tape and has light tape as well, but I think this young man has a sound ceiling with two more years of high school football yet to grow. Also is a two-way prospect for the Aggies.
