Cael Bruning, QB, Spencer, IA (2025) Twitter
A quarterback prospect that impressed me with his development from my last live evaluation was Spencer 2025 Cael Bruning. He shows mechanically the strides he has made and has grown up his poise since watching him in 7v7 and camps last Spring. Cael has also hit a heck of a growth spurt and showed off fluid touch on his throws on all three levels of the field and growing arm strength throwing from the run. A quarterback prospect that I think this summer will see his upside pop out.
Grant Benson Grant Benson 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Buffalo | 2026 MN , QB, Buffalo, MN (2026) Twitter
Grant flashed last weekend in St. Cloud as well, but seeing him on a full-field gave me a better live-evaluation. He impressed me consistently with the balanced arm strength and ball placement he showed especially on intermediate routes. The pocket presence Grant showed off you could tell got gained speed with his progressions with the more reps I watched on Saturday in St. Paul.
Brayden Shafer Brayden Shafer 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Princeton | 2025 MN , QB, Princeton, MN (2025) Twitter
Another 2025 quarterback from this list that showed off their upside was Princeton’s Brayden Shafer Brayden Shafer 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Princeton | 2025 MN . I believe this young man has developed a lot since I saw him last fall, while watching his footwork as he certainly shows off more balance in my eyes from start to finish watching his lower body. There is a ton of grit and arm strength with him on tape that I feel is under the radar. Brayden also has ideal next-level measurables at 6’3 190 pounds with room to grow in the weight room.
Kane Donnelly, QB, Somerset, WI (2025) Twitter
The natural arm strength that Kane possesses certainly passed the eye-test at Saturday’s 612Qs Offensive Skills Camp, as one of our Wisconsin and one of our overall quarterback MVPS in St. Paul. He shows off an arm that shows off sound bases of instinct based on the release he shows off. He also shows off much more length in his downhill strides outside of the pocket than you would expect on tape. Kane is certainly a NW Wisconsin 2025 quarterback I will have my eyes on this summer and fall.
Briar Schuett, QB, Willmar, MN (2027) Twitter
Briar is an underclassmen quarterback prospect in the 2027 class that has shown off his upside over the last month or so in my eyes as a standout within the last couple 612Qs showcases I have been at. This young man impressed me most with his quick release he showed off especially on short and intermediate routes. Not just his release stood out either, as Briar showed off to me a quarterback that is a quick learner and is one that even after watching a couple sessions now of his game, that he shows off a quarterback that is growing with his fundamentals. An Outstate 2027 quarterback to keep on your Minnesota radar.
