The Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit returned to Murfreesboro this past weekend as an assortment of talented squads showcased their talent at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex for Music City Mayhem. After two days of competitive football action, Slaughterhouse Elite secured both the 14U and 15U titles, departing from the Volunteer State as champions.

After witnessing the South Carolina powerhouse claim a 28-8 victory over the West Michigan Drive in the 15U championship game, here are five players from Slaughterhouse Elite;s roster that established themselves as top tier gamechangers and played a significant role in their team's success this past weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='640683' first='Kevin' last='Johnson'] - 2027 Quarterback

Earning MVP for his effort was [player_tooltip player_id='640683' first='Kevin' last='Johnson'], who stayed locked in at the helm of the offense from start to finish. Johnson showcased his ability to remain composed under pressure and consistently overwhelm the defense with his deep passing. I also liked Johnson's ability to take risks in crucial moments, proving he can maneuver the pocket and scan the backfield for open receivers. Johnson's quick release also stood out, utilizing his accuracy in the air to complete the short pass in third-down scenarios. Johnson's ability to toss completions into coverage also stood out.

Romaum Parson - 2026 Athlete

I was also impressed with Romaum Parson, a gamechanger both offensively and defensively. Parson utilized his breakaway speed, versatile edge and ability to read the pass all throughout the weekend tournament, proving he could quickly blast into the backfield and find a few seconds of wide open space to haul in the deep pass. With his ability to read the gunslinger and attack the ball in the air, Parson also proved his ability to contest the pass defensively, using his wingspan to wrap up receivers and swat the ball to the ground in the backfield.

Bryce Jenkins - 2027 Athlete

Another player to put up strong numbers was Bryce Jenkins, an athlete that proved his productivity on both sides of the ball. Offensively, I liked how Jenkins could move around the field and attack the ball in the air. Jenkins also impressed me with his ability to help out his quarterback with time expiring, showing off his ability to quickly get open for the short pass. I also liked how Jenkins could read the opposing offense and protect the backfield with his ability to get to receivers quickly after the catch. Jenkins could also elevate off the ground to shut down the deep pass.

Cam McCue - 2027 Wide Receiver

Also making a huge difference was Cam McCue, who caught my attention with his outstanding size, electric speed off the snap and his ability to be explosive offensively. In addition to excellent footwork and his ability to juke out the defense, McCue impressed me with his physicality in coverage, proving he can stun the defense and get in prime position to haul in the pass. McCue's ability to push off the defense to get open from along the edge also made an impact. McCue was good at reading the short pass and pushing forward with his shiftiness on the ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='1198063' first='Frank' last='Ham'] - 2027 WR

Proving his skilset offensively was [player_tooltip player_id='1198063' first='Frank' last='Ham'], another top tier wide receiver to make plays in crucial moments. On top of great athleticism and the ability to adapt in coverage, Ham proved to be a challenge to contain down the stretch due to his size, speed and physical edge. I liked Ham's ability to lock onto the deep pass, using his arms to push off the defense and consistently get to the ball in the air. I also liked Ham's deceptive movement on the run, showcasing his ability to quickly get open for the short pass and slip past the defense en route to the house.
