The 16th annual Elite Football Combine took place this past Saturday in St. Louis. Around 250 football players showed up and learned, competed and tested. At the end of the combine I selected four players in the 2025 class from St. Louis based on their performance to play in the 2024 ACS All-Star football game that happens in December.

[player_tooltip player_id='328114' first='Charles' last='Brooks III'] EDGE
Cardinal Ritter
- The Northern Illinois verbal commit Brooks (6'5" 215) wanted to come and compete and show his progress he's from last year's combine. He did not disappoint himself or others in attendance with his 4.6 forty time, 28" vertical, 9'4" broad jump and 4.5 shuttle. On top of that he lived in the backfield in 1 on 1s blowing past opposing offensive linemen using his speed, quick first step and a variety of technique he has learned in dedicating himself to constantly improving his skills with his DL training sessions he committed to over the past year. Charles will be a versatile addition to the Huskies defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='830880' first='Triston' last='Abram'] EDGE
CBC
-Another super talented EDGE prospect who earned an ACS All-Star nomination was Abram (6'4" 210) who despite having double digit offers came to the combine wanting all the smoke in 1on1 competition, tested very well showing his speed, quickness and power, and showed even more improvement from last year when he burst on the scene with his first offers following the Lindenwood Mega Camp. Triston is explosive, with a great first step, good strength, uses his hands well, and has a strong variety of technique to to beat his offensive lineman he goes up against. He won every battle I watched and got a lot of reps. He also showed his speed and quickness in testing. Schools such as Kansas, Indiana, Memphis and others were smart getting their offers in early.

[player_tooltip player_id='285169' first='Robby' last='Preckel'] TE/ATH
Lafayette
- Talented pass catcher and athlete Preckel (6'3" 222) who recently landed his first two D1 offers from Lindenwood University and Southeast Missouri improved his testing numbers from his last camp I was at and showed why colleges are starting to take an strong interest with and impressive day of testing with a 4.69 forty time, 30" vertical jump, 9'6" broad jump and 4.2 shuttle time. In one on ones Robby showed the route running and hands that has schools looking at him primarily as a Tight End/Receiver, and the strength he has spent time in the weight room working on. He could play TE, WR, H-Back on offense easily.

[player_tooltip player_id='326611' first='Preston' last='Brown'] QB
Hillsboro
- In a class full of at least 6 D1 quarterbacks in the state of Missouri, Brown (6'2" 196) may be the most athletic of them all. The true dual threat had a great day testing regardless of position, but especially for a QB with a 4.5 forty time, 32" vertical jump, 10-foot broad jump, and 4.15 pro agility shuttle. If that were not enough, he showed his strong accurate arm consistently in one on ones with the ability to make all the throws and hit his receiving targets with ease. Preston's footwork and technique is on point as you can see he is well trained at his positon. Besides his QB skills, he also is like having a skilled tailback with speed as a signal-caller.
