Chieftain is a communicator at the Safety position with visible signals and calls made pre-snap on the field. He shows very good processing of offensive schemes at the start of the play, with very good vision and reaction. Shows good hip fluidity in pass coverage and can turn and run with receivers and force incompletions. Good run support, with good reaction time to run plays to come downhill displaying good tackling, especially in the open field. Takes very good angles in the open field to track down runners. Not scared of contact and willing to play physical at the point of attack.
Highlights
Lloyd has good height as a CB. He displays good Man and Zone coverage ability and predominantly plays in Soft and Off coverages and is willing to play with physicality against WRs in their routes. QBs be aware as any jump ball thrown his way will likely result in an interception. He has very good ball-tracking ability and timing to force a turnover or an incompletion. He played on Varsity this past season, and he is a name to keep track of heading into his sophomore year as he continues to develop his game.
Highlights
Khalid has been on Prep Redzone’s radar for a while now and was previously featured by Al Pops. He is a corner that you can leave on an island with elite press man coverage technique, showing patience at the snap before quickly jamming the WR with explosiveness to disrupt his release. He also can play in both Soft and Off coverage, showing very good backpedal and hip fluidity to match the WR with tight coverage. He also is very good in run support, can shed the blocks of WRs, and is not afraid to be physical at the point of attack. Khalid has Power 5 ability and has already fielded offers from the likes of Michigan, South Carolina, Indiana, and Penn State among many others.
Jayce can play as an off-ball Linebacker or on the EDGE. He displays good processing of schemes and reaction to plays to be in a position to make a stop. Displays very good balance when engaging blocks from larger offensive linemen with good use of hands to shed the block with good tackling ability. Displays solid range to cover from hash to sideline. Good Zone coverage processing, understanding where to be to disrupt the play, and can force interceptions.
Christopher is a hard-hitting off-ball linebacker. He displays a quick first step that he transfers into good explosiveness at the point of contact. His Run stuffing is his strength, showing the ability to quickly read a play and come downhill to man his gap and lay a big hit on the ball carrier. He also shows good competitive toughness in that he does not give up on a play and will make tackles downfield.
