Arguably the best QB prospect in Section VI, Bryce Tubin Bryce Tubin 6’2″ | 215 lbs | QB Clarence | 2025 NY took the league by storm. In his first year on Varsity, he led Section VI in completions (167), attempts (263) and passing yards (2,464) on his way to being named the All Western New York Offensive Player of the Year. He also threw 23 touchdown passes, which ranked 2nd in Section VI and a Clarence all-time single season record. Tubin has a strong arm and his accuracy is supreme. He has phenomenal pocket presence and is a true leader as he guided the Red Devils to a Class A Championship. Other accolades Tubin has accomplished were being named 4th team All State and a 2023 Connolly Cup finalist, given to Western New York’s best football player. Bryce Tubin Bryce Tubin 6’2″ | 215 lbs | QB Clarence | 2025 NY ‘s senior year will prove him to be not just a one year wonder but a force to be reckoned with.
Most Quarterbacks start making a name for themselves in their Junior season. Not that case with Tate Catanese Tate Catanese 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Clymer/Panama/Sherman | 2025 State NY . Catanese has been CSP’s starting QB since his Sophomore year, making the All State Team and leading the Wolfpack to the Class D playoffs in both seasons, winning it all in 2023. As a Junior, Tate showed off his pinpoint accuracy with a 68.8 completion percentage. He was incredibly efficient throwing just 5 interceptions to his 22 touchdown passes. He is a phenomenal athlete that can stand in the pocket to deliver a strike or roll out and gain yards with his legs. His accomplishments have been undeniable making 1st team All State, 1st Team All Western New York and was a Connolly Cup Finalist, the first player in school history to do so. He plays at a small school so many colleges may overlook him but Tate Catanese Tate Catanese 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB Clymer/Panama/Sherman | 2025 State NY has all the tools needed to succeed at the next level.
Another two year starter, Rocco Panepinto Rocco Panepinto 6’4″ | 185 lbs | QB Sweet Home | 2025 State NY received much adulation as a Junior; making 5th team All State, 2nd team All Western new York and was named All League Offensive MVP. Panepinto enters his Senior season with 3,018 passing yards and 29 touchdowns. He as thrown a TD in 16 of the 18 games he has played. He has a quick release and is incredibly versatile. I would not call him a “running” Quarterback but he can take off if needed and with his solid frame, he is tough to bring down. Rocco Panepinto Rocco Panepinto 6’4″ | 185 lbs | QB Sweet Home | 2025 State NY has the prototypical size to play Quarterback at the collegiate level and being a multi-sport star will sure land him some Division I offers in 2024.

Brady Ciano Brady Ciano 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Orchard Park | 2025 NY came out in his first year on varsity and led the Quakers to a commendable title run. Although they fell short, Ciano threw for 445 yards and 6 touchdowns in two playoff games, displaying poise and excellent leadership. Brady is a tough passer that can deliver strikes in the face of high pressure and can put his shoulder down and run over a defender; a trait he’s going to learn to avoid in college but will get his team fired up. Ciano has amazing accuracy especially on the deep ball averaging 15.2 yards per completion. As a first year starter, Brady Ciano Brady Ciano 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Orchard Park | 2025 NY has already gained statewide attention receiving 6th team All State Honors and 1st Team All Western New York, all the while winning Offensive MVP in Class AA in 2023. Ciano has received collegiate interests from several colleges such as the University of New Hampshire. I expect his Senior season will bring about more accolades.
Highlights
A 2023 transfer, Sherrad Bennard III Sherrad Bennard III 6’1″ | 185 lbs | QB Bennett | 2025 State NY came to Bennett and fit right in, guiding the tigers to another Section VI title. Although the team was loaded with talent at every position, Bennard held his own at QB, accounting for over 2,000 offensive yards and 16 touchdowns, while protecting the ball with just 4 interceptions. Bennard takes command of the offense and is a natural leader. Not a run first type of player, Sherrad can still extend the play with his legs. He possesses amazing arm strength, averaging over 17 yards per completion. Sherrad Bennard III Sherrad Bennard III 6’1″ | 185 lbs | QB Bennett | 2025 State NY has gained interests from colleges like Bryant and Fordham but with his Senior Season coming in 2024 and many of his playmakers returning, I see a lot of powerhouse offers coming his way.
The Lancaster Legends let Krupa loose in his first year as starting QB. A true pocket passer, Alex Krupa Alex Krupa 6’0″ | 185 lbs | QB Lancaster | 2025 State NY was 3rd in all of Section VI in completions (141) and attempts (230). Krupa is excellent at finding the holes in the defensive coverages and can “thread the needle.” He has that ability to put the ball where only his receiver can get it. There is a lot more that needs to be seen from Krupa in 2024 with many of his top targets graduating this year but Lancaster always produces top talent. Alex Krupa Alex Krupa 6’0″ | 185 lbs | QB Lancaster | 2025 State NY has so far gained some interest from Mercyhurst College. Another trip to the Section VI finals will implant him as a highly touted college recruit.
The St. Francis Red Raiders captured their third straight Monsignor Martin League Championship with Junior, Landon Welka Landon Welka 5’11” | 155 lbs | ATH St. Francis | 2025 NY leading the pack. In his first varsity season, Welka earned 3rd team All State honors as well as Honorable Mention from the All Western New York team. St. Francis was a run heavy team in 2023 so Landon’s numbers weren’t off the charts but he showed excellent poise and toughness. A starter since his sophomore year, Cayden Stupak Cayden Stupak 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB West Seneca West | 2025 State NY has great awareness and can improvise when a play breaks down better than just about anyone. An elusive runner and scrambler, Stupak is difficult to defend against. With incredible arm strength, Cayden is great at stretching the field and is not afraid to take chances. A true “gunslinger.” Cayden Stupak Cayden Stupak 6’0″ | 180 lbs | QB West Seneca West | 2025 State NY has gained exposure with some Division 1 colleges like Syracuse and the University at Buffalo.
