Each of these tight ends are Saturday worthy and have the skillset to dominate at the next level. Here are five pass catcher’s and run blockers that you should keep an eye on during the 2024 season.

Little Rock Central tight end Kelly Smith brings a solid powerful build at the tight end position. He is the 65th rated overall player and 2nd overall at his position in the state of Arkansas (via Prep Redzone) for the class of 2025. Smith displays a good release off the LOS. Demonstrating good ball skills at the catch point. Good hand-eye coordination with body control against contest. Has the potential to be a Redzone threat especially in bunch concepts. Underrated run blocker out in space and smooth route running ability. Excited to see him dominate the secondary in 2024.

Marion tight end Cameron Garrett Cameron Garrett 6’3″ | 205 lbs | TE Marion | 2025 State AR brings versatility at the tight end position as he has the fluidness to line up out wide. He is the 54th rated overall player and 1st overall at his position in the state of Arkansas (via Prep Redzone) for the class of 2025. Garrett displays a quick release off the LOS scrimmage while showcasing a good feel against zone coverage to sit down in the soft spots. Good body control and ball tracking skills to adjust. Physical runner that is tough to bring down. Garrett is someone to keep an eye on during the 2024 season.

Maumelle tight end Hayden Sublette has the potential to be the next best tight end to come out of the state of Arkansas. He is the 15th rated overall player and 1st overall at his position in the state of Arkansas (via Prep Redzone) for the class of 2027. Sublette brings a very good run blocking ability, consistently opening up holes on the outside or reaching to the second level with impressive agility and hand placement. Has the ability to dominate the short to intermediate area of the field with his length and strong hands. His size, power and physicalness causes a mismatch in coverage, making himself an easy target for the quarterback. The future is bright and I’m excited to watch him during the 2024 season.

Monticello tight end Jaxon Rawls brings you a reliable target for the quarterback that displays strong hands and good length. He is the 16th rated overall player and 2nd overall at his position in the state of Arkansas (via Prep Redzone) for the class of 2027. Rawls displays good ball tracking skills with impressive ability to catch during contest. He has a knack for finding the soft spot during his routes especially against zone coverage. Good lateral agility with foot quickness. In the running game, he has the ability to block on the edge for outside zones, allowing running backs to make a move. Rawls is someone to watch during the 2024 season.

Bentonville tight end Eli Brooks Eli Brooks 6’3″ | 215 lbs | TE Bentonville | 2025 AR may be the most underrated in the state for this position. Prep Redzone currently has him on the watch list for players to watch and will be rated soon! Brooks displays explosiveness off the LOS with an impressive ability to create separation. Good speed and athleticism with smooth route running ability and good hand-eye coordination. Brooks knows how to attack zone coverage and use body movements to throw off defenders in man. Solid run blocking skills, demonstrating good positioning, hand placement and leg drive to create holes for the ball carriers. I’m expecting his recruiting to take off to another level soon during the 2024 season.
