Continue ReadingQuinn Frisell and his 612 Quarterbacks training academy are changing the landscape of prep football in Minnesota. In the burgeoning industry of high school trainers, Quinn is one of my favorites, as he’s in it for the right reasons, is a natural coach, and brings an experienced and extensive playing background to the benefit of high school quarterbacks and receivers from all around the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Quinn has cleaned up the mechanics and bettered the game of gunslingers since he founded 612Qs a few years ago, and I was very excited to get an invite to attend yesterday’s Offensive Skills Camp at the Concordia-St. Paul dome in St. Paul. With over 100 quarterbacks and wideouts from four different states and five graduating classes, PrepRedzone had a lot to look at yesterday afternoon, and I’m excited to share my Top Performers from the 612Qs Offensive Skills Showcase below, starting with Wide Receivers. Let’s dig in.

Wide Receivers
Bib #11: Gavin Sell (Baldwin-Woodville, WI) 2025. 6’3, 190 lbs.
The most college-ready skill player at yesterday’s 612Qs camp, Wisconsin native Sell was also the most impressive. Earned an MVP nod from his group’s coach, Sell looked all of his reported 6’3, 190, muscular build in both his upper and lower body, and good length as well. You can do a lot with that frame in a collegiate S&C program. Besides the size, Sell was a fluid athlete, ran good routes, and flashed his athleticism with some eye-catching one-handed snags throughout the afternoon. Exciting name out of the Badger State who showed up and showed out in St. Paul.
Bib #42: Jay Sanders Jay Sanders 5'8" | 155 lbs | WR Minneapolis North | 2026 State MN (Minneapolis North) 2026. 5’9, 155 lbs.
One of the names I was most excited to watch at Saturday’s event, Sanders lived up to the hype and earned a group MVP nod from his position coach, in large part thanks to his standout footwork, soft hands burst out of his breaks, and overall route running ability. He looked athletic in both drills and routes on air and was one of the more consistent skill players as well.
Bib #70: Wes Marggraf Wes Marggraf 6'0" | 155 lbs | WR Int Louis Park | 2027 MN (St. Louis Park) 2027.
Earned a group MVP nod and was a favorite of fellow PRzMN scout Nate Wahl. I didn’t get to see a ton of the young freshmen, but he looked good in both drill work and during routes on air. Some names to know coming up in the SLP underclassmen ranks.
Bib #58: Jack Noonan (Rosemount) 2027.
One of the biggest underclassmen in attendance at around 6’4, 200 pounds with more room to fill in. Also have to like the fact that he goes to a 6A, high-quality prep program that utilizes size and athleticism well. Ran some solid routes at the end of the afternoon too.
Bib #66: Reid Hungerholt (LeRoy-Ostrander) 2027.
A must-know name out of the small-school ranks who carries a familiar last name. Hungerholt was one of the more physically developed underclassmen in attendance, with long arm, some ropey, muscular definition, and some noticeably impressive COD skills. Soft hands, great frame, dynamic, the younger Hungerholt is flashing high-quality athleticism just like his older brother, who we’ll get to later.
Bib #43: Jeremiah Jackson (Minneapolis North) 2026.
Part of a deep and athletic contingent of Minneapolis North Polar 2026s to ball out on Saturday, I liked Jeremiah Jackson’s releases, overall quickness, and soft hands.
Bib #7: Danny Plamann Danny Plamann 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB St. Agnes | 2025 State MN (St. Agnes) 2025.
There’s a ton of reasons that St. Agnes’ star WR/S Danny Plamann Danny Plamann 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB St. Agnes | 2025 State MN earned a StarTribune All-Metro nod last fall, and we all got to see why at the CSP Dome. Plamann impressed and wowed by easily snagging deep balls one-handed in effortless fashion, and his top-end speed, burst out of his breaks, and body control were arguably the best in attendance. Really enjoyed watching Plamann do his thing on Saturday.
Bib #37: Evons Plamann Evons Plamann 5'6" | 150 lbs | RB St. Agnes | 2026 State MN (St. Agnes) 2026.
Exceptional, blink-of-an-eye type quickness with great footwork and loose hips. Very controlled, powerful, quick, and intentional when changing direction or getting out of his breaks. Was a level or two above his peers during drill work.
Bib #53: Taylor Seaton (Eastview) 2026.
Thicker sophomore with a good frame and a lot of room to fill in. Physically developed lower body, solid hands, looked good during drill work and his size was an eye-catcher as well.
Bib #28: Tarique Toure (Little Falls) 2025.
A name new to my radar and one of a couple Little Falls standout performers from Saturday’s 612Qs Showcase, junior WR Toure holds a thick and powerful lower body, good body control and COD skills that showed up in fluid fashion during both drills and routes on air, and soft hands that caught everything around him. Big catch radius too.
Bib #19: Kobee Thielen (Dassel-Cokato) 2025.
An obvious top performer both in terms of the eye test and actual play, DC Charger Kobee Thielen was an eye-catching 5’11, 175 lber. who earned an MVP nod from his positional coach due to his athleticism, hard working mentality, and coachability. I second all of those sentiments, and Thielen was laterally quick, comfortable running a variety of routes, and athletic when tracking, locating, and attacking the rock in the air.
Bib #46: Mason Helfmann Mason Helfmann 5'9" | 195 lbs | RB St. Louis Park | 2026 State MN (St. Louis Park) 2026.
Last name caught my eye initially, and after a conversation with his coach, I was stoked to learn sophomore Helfmann already owns some impressive weight room numbers that includes a 270 lb. bench, 305 lb. clean, and 345 lb. front squat. Still a lot of room to grow, but Helfmann’s brother was 6’4 and Mason still has a ton of time. Solid showing during drills and route work as well.
