Pope is the top 2027 WR in the state right now and already possesses a lot of physical traits major D1 programs look for. At 6’2” 175 lbs. he’s got ideal size, length, and growth potential. He’s a gifted athlete that can stretch the field with his speed or create separation at the short/intermediate levels with his route running. He’s got good initial quickness off the line with a strong drive phase to eat up DB’s cushion and force them to transition. His length makes him a big target and gives him a large catch radius that extends outside his framework. Explosive playmaking ability after the catch with a combination of speed and strength as a ball carrier. Holds four P4 offers to date from Miami, Oregon State, Oregon, and Washington State. You’ll see him ranked near the top of his class regardless of position as he progresses through high school.
Highlights
At 6’0” 180 lbs. Glover is a fluid athlete with speed. He’s got a wide skillset to be a difference maker in all three phases but really flashed at WR during his freshman year. Advanced route runner for his age that does a good job creating positional leverage and setting up his routes with stems/nods. Shows he can drop his hip level on his breaks and accelerate out to create separation. Strong ball skills, he’s a natural catcher that is confident and attacks the ball in the air. Possesses the open field speed and lateral agility to be elusive after the catch. Good ability to extend gains on short passes. He’s a physical receiver that shows effort and willingness to block in the run game. Picked up his initial offer from Nevada back in May but will add more with colleges loving his complete size and skillset.
Hargraves is a plus athlete coming out of the slot at 5’9” 175 lbs. Shows the ability to attack the defense at all three levels. Has the speed to slip by coverage and be a deep threat but can also move the chains on short routes and screen plays. He’s quick and shifty as a route runner and a ball carrier after the catch. He’s got good short area burst and separation quickness to create space. Smooth in and out of his break and flashes good body control, balance, and coordination. Has good hands and can adjust to the ball in the air but tends to let it get into his body and not extend at the catch point. After the catch, he’s got good awareness of space and where defenders are with the speed to break away. Turned his 22 receptions into 325 yards and six touchdowns as a freshman. Will be a big playmaker for West Valley over the next several years and one to watch as he develops.
