As we enter the 2024 high school football offseason, we have been releasing our rankings updates in the state of Kentucky. This past month has been dedicated to the class of 2027, which is a class that is loaded with talent. Over the past couple weeks, I have focused on the top five players at each position so now I wanted to focus on some key players at each position that landed outside the top five that I believe people should be paying close attention to. With that being said, I will be doing a “Stock Watch” series highlighting each position in the 2027 class. After already covering the quarterbacks, here are some 2027 running backs to keep an eye on.

He finished this past season with 13 carries for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Stiltner has impressive vision, showing the ability to find cut back lanes and hit them in a hurry. Once he hits the open field, he has shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss. Landen doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep any eye on as his role in the Raceland offense continues to grow.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["871926"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='871926' first='Nicholas' last='Ranson'] is a player that played in mainly a reserve/JV role this past season but put together some impressive film. Ranson has explosive speed which he uses to get to the outside and turn up the field in a hurry to run away from the defense on long runs. Once he hits the open field, he has shown the ability to make cuts to make defenders miss. Ranson doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["729111"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='729111' first='Braden' last='Burk'] is a player that stood out in the Owensboro offense as a freshman. He plays in more of an H-Back role, showing the ability to serve as both a lead blocker and reliable ball carrier. As a ball carrier, he shows the strength to run through defenders and speed to break away from the defense once he hits the open field. He finished this past season with eight carries for 47 yards and two touchdowns in eight games. Braden doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on over the next few seasons.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1200695"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"The final running back on my 2027 “Stock Watch” list is [player_tooltip player_id='1200695' first='Christopher' last='Richardson'] from North Oldham. He played mainly in a backup role this past season but was productive when his number was called, finishing the year with 44 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown in 12 games. Richardson is a strong runner, showing the contact balance to break tackles in the open field without losing stride. He has also shown the speed to run away from the defense on long runs. Richardson doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on as his role in the North Oldham offense continues to grow.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":4,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6604903c699de"} /-->
