Continue ReadingMattew Behanna has limited film but flashed some good skills at quarterback. He is a good athlete who does an excellent job under pressure and scrambles around to make plays. He is equally good at designed sprint-out passing plays where he can throw on the run. When he is in the pocket Behanna shows a good and accurate arm. I am excited to see how he progresses as a quarterback next season.
Highlights
Nick Hajdu Nick Hajdu PA has limited film, but he should be a bigger contributor next season for Cannon-McMillan. As a defensive lineman, he shows good strength and athleticism to play the position. Hajdu can rush the passer and show that skill very well. At tight end, he catches the ball well in traffic and runs good routes. He should only get better going into his Sophomore season.
Drew Ross Drew Ross 5’10” | 150 lbs | QB Freeport | 2026 State PA is a magician in the pocket as a quarterback. His film is littered with him making spectacular plays when he faces pressure. Several times he looks like he is sacked, and he escapes to make plays. He usually then finds a wide receiver open down the field. Ross also does a good job in the pocket. He shows a good ability to throw with accuracy in the pocket. Ross should only improve going into next season and I am excited to watch his film.

Walter Jenkins Walter Jenkins PA -Schubert
Walter Jenkins Walter Jenkins PA -Schubert played right tackle last year for Newport. For a freshman playing his 1st varsity snaps, he did very well. He showed a good ability to engage and move his feet to block defensive players. He is particularly good at blocking down on defensive tackles and driving them off the ball. He also showed a good ability to stay in front of edge defenders when he pass-blocked. Jenkins-Schubert flashed last year and is a name to keep track of going forward.
Robert Edwards Robert Edwards 6’1″ | 270 lbs | DL Emmaus | 2026 State PA played at a high level for Emmaus last year as a defensive tackle. He has a good combination of strength and athleticism to play the position. Edwards also is hard to move off his spot by offensive lineman. Edwards does a great job of setting the edge when he bounces out to the defensive end position and then comes downhill to make plays. He also shows good pass-rush moves by putting pressure on the quarterback. Edwards has a good skill set for a defensive lineman.

Kai Jefferson-Rushing
Kai Jefferson-Rushing is a good athlete who played as a wide receiver and as a defensive back for Emmaus last season. As a wide receiver, he showed off his ability to make defenders miss. He is good in space with the ball in his hands. He also has good speed and can run helpless defenders. As a defensive back, he shows good coverage skills. He is also a hard hitter who does a nice job coming upfield to make tackles. Jefferson-Rushing is an outstanding player.
Joey O’Brien Joey O’Brien 6’4″ | 180 lbs | ATH La Salle College | 2026 State PA has elite size and athleticism for a cornerback and wide receiver. You do not see many 6’3″ inches cornerbacks but O’Brien pulls it off because of how athletic he is. He does a nice job in coverage as he plays either in the flat or as a deep corner. He was a ball hawk who had multiple interceptions last year. As a wide receiver, he does a good job of catching contested catches. He is also good at running routes and making difficult catches. O’Brien is a good athlete who can do a lot of things on the football field.
