Continue ReadingIt is hard to believe that we are now less than nine months away from the Class of 2025 having the opportunity to sign a national letter of intent. With that said let’s continue our new series of looking at the top 2025’s in MS and updating their evaluations and projections:
Mario Nash Jr Mario Nash Jr 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL Kemper County | 2025 State MS . – Kemper County
Nash has seen has recruitment take off in impressive fashion over the course of the last year. Immediate eye test shows prototypical size at current state and projection in years to come currently verified at 6040 and 270lb. The length he possesses is elite and the frame looks welcoming to added growth. At his best at initial point of contact with good level and overall footwork. Athletic with room to grow and morph more into that as he becomes more comfortable at his size. Moves fluidly and with ease no matter the assignment. Checks boxes of uncoachable items when it comes to size and length. As case with many Mississippi lineman prospects there is definitely rawness/untapped potential to his game, but will grow into that over time. Power 5 player that has plenty of options/offers and will be a good get for anyone.
Tyler Miller Tyler Miller 6'7" | 340 lbs | OL Laurel | 2025 State MS – Laurel
Laurel has become a hotbed of offensive tackle prospects over the last decade and Miller is right in line. Freaky athletic makeup that is combined with true tackle frame at 6050 300 plus. Consensus top 150 player in the country. Strength shows immediately on film from his JR season. Powerful guy that wins in one on ones against quality competition both in run blocking downfield and in pass sets. Moves exceptionally well into the second level to be at 300+ pounds. Potential to have a freak physical makeup with the right strength/conditioning program. Current LSU commit and has offers from everyone as he should.
Harrison Cluff Harrison Cluff 6'5" | 295 lbs | OL Columbia | 2025 State MS – Columbia
Turn on Cluff’s film and you will quickly see him lined up all across the offensive line. On the shorter side of what is expected of D1 offensive lines but not limited. Film shows production at the guard and tackle position and I would not rule out at this time his potential to play at center. Wins with leverage at point of attack and athleticism in moving to the second level. Very technical from initial point thru the play. Not dynamic off the snap from a quickness perspective but plays at wide stance with above average feet. Love the motor that Cluff shows at the end of the play. Projects as a borderline Power 5 prospect and most likely on the interior of the line.
Lorenzo Jackson Lorenzo Jackson 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL DeSoto Central | 2025 State MS – Desoto Central
Wiry type, high cut, frame that is on the shorter end of the spectrum but has some arm length. Needed weight gain before moving to the next level but impressive strength and knockdown power for current situation. Shows ability to combo, get to next level and takedown guys from the tackle position. Quick feet is a major plus to his game in addition to his overall above average athletic ability. Rangy lineman that gets downfield and finishes plays without a doubt. Jackson is a bit of a project but has some intangibles that catch the eye for sure.
