Matson comes in as the #1 ranked 2025 QB in the state after leading Lake Stevens to their second consecutive 4A state championship throwing for almost 3,400 yards and 49 touchdowns while completing 67% of his passes. He’s a high level QB with a natural throwing motion and a fluid over the top delivery. Flashes a superior ability to be accurate off multiple throwing platforms without sacrificing velocity or accuracy. Shows he can process information quickly while manipulating coverage with his eyes to create a throwing lane. High football IQ, he makes smart decisions with the football never forcing it into coverage, only threw five interceptions on 293 attempts. Plus pocket mobility, he’s able to feel and avoid pressure to buy time while locating a downfield target. Throws extremely well on the run to either direction. No offers yet but is a D1 caliber player and was voted the 2023 Gatorade Player of the Year.
Highlights
Andersen is a pure football player that can line up and be effective playing any skilled position on both sides of the ball. He’s a great athlete at 6’2” 180 lbs. with a strong and well-built frame. He shows natural instincts as a ball carrier. He’s patient in allowing the play and his blocks to develop and then is quick to attack the lane when it opens up. He’s able to see angles using his great vision and field awareness to know where defenders are on the field. Good all-around game speed, he’s got plus lateral quickness and a sustained second gear to run away from defenders in the open field. Can break tackles by absorbing contact while maintaining forward momentum and leg drive. Finished the 2023 season with 2,400 all-purpose yards and 30 touchdowns on his way to be voted First Team All-State and All-Region Player of the Year. He’s got great upside/potential and is highly recruitable at multiple positions for the college level.

Martin shot up the most recent rankings update after a huge junior season racking up over 3,000 yards of offense and 43 touchdowns on his way to being named First Team All-State. He’s a gifted dual-sport prospect (football/basketball) with great body control and natural athleticism. He’s a true dual threat QB that can take over a game with both his arm and his legs. In the pocket, he’s smooth getting into his drop with quiet feet then landing with a well-balanced platform and good ball placement. Shows he can hit his receivers in stride to all areas of the field allowing them to run after the catch. He’s a natural playmaker with a great ability to improvise and create when protection breaks down. Dangerous when he tucks and runs, he’s elusive in the open field and flashes a strong burst to break away. Comes in as our fourth ranked 2025 QB in the state.
Matautia had a great junior season that saw him being voted First Team All Metro and Lineman of the Year. At 5’11” 290 lbs. he’s got a strong frame packed with power at the POA. He’s a violent finisher that explodes at the point of engagement bringing his hips and feet upon contact to drive opponents off the ball. He’s a plus athlete that can move his feet and shows great mobility working to the second level or as a pulling guard. Well-coached, he’s got great technique in both his footwork and hand usage. He’s a heavy striker that gets good extension on his initial punch and does a good job repositioning and recovering from defenders moves. He’s under control and attacks with a good wide base to be balanced at the contact point. Expect him to see a bump in recruiting attention as the cycle progresses and he’s able to show off his skillset.
