There was a stretch during the 2022 season where Ocala West Port felt that the corner was finally being turned.

That stretch included six games where the Wolf Pack went 5-1 and was on pace to make a run toward the state playoffs.

But things didn't end on a positive note for head coach Greg Harper and his football team, losing to Ocala Forest, ending the season 6-4.

When the year had ended, this team felt that things could have gone better, but at the same time, there was an off-season and plenty of talent coming back.

The rising senior (2025) class was the reason that this team felt so optimistic, and for good reason.

Among those players coming back included Cameron Aiken (OC, 5-10, 225 – 2.88 GPA), [player_tooltip player_id='1224056' first='Nasir' last='Allen'] (RB/S, 5-11, 175), Daryn Bell (WR/DB, 5-7, 160 – 2.4 GPA), Demetrius Brown (TE/SS, 6-3, 195 – 2.76 GPA), Johnathan Chappel (RB/LB, 5-11, 185), Casey Corson (DL/OL, 6-2, 280 – 2.45), Ware Davun (DT, 5-11, 250), Ayden DeMartino (SS/FB, 6-0, 175), and receiver/defensive back Jonathan Gonyer (WR/DB, 5-9, 160 – 3.6 GPA).

The class also features Angel Irizarry (DE/OT – 2.7 GPA), Tyree James (OL, 5-10, 225 – 3.3 GPA), Anthony Johnson (DE/TE, 6-2, 195 – 3.1 GPA), Noah Saju (P/K, 6-1, 170 – 3.76 GPA), Elijah Salinas (LB, 5-8, 155 – 2.5 GPA), Ethan Shepp (OL/DL, 6-3, 250 – 3.0 GPA), Brittin Stevens (QB, 5-10,155 – 3.3 GPA), Jacob Stiles (OL/DL, 6-2, 235 – 3.33 GPA), Jaleel Thomas (OLB/RB, 5-9, 155 – 2.6 GPA), Clayton Williams (S, 5-9, 150 – 2.6 GPA), [player_tooltip player_id='1224181' first='Garrett' last='Wilson'] (OL, 6-1, 215 – 3.83 GPA), and versatile receiver/safety Giovanni Wright (5-11, 160 – 3.0 GPA)

KEEP AN EYE ON THE 2026 PROSPECTS

While the Wolf Pack will count on the rising senior class, keep an eye on the 2026 rising junior prospects as well.

Among those players will be Joshua Cobbett (RB/CB, 5-8, 155), Chris Davis (RB, 5-7, 165 – 3.08 GPA), Ashton Demartino (RB/FS, 5-9, 150), Jacob Dill (QB, 5-10, 170 – 2.6 GPA), Davara Everett (DB, 5-11, 155 – 2.5 GPA), Daijon Goodin (WR/S, 6-1, 175), and defensive back Jordan Honor (DB, 5-9, 150 – 3.1 GPA).

This group will also have Randy Jackson Jr. (DB/WR, 5-10, 145 – 2.95 GPA), Walter Jones (SS/WR), Isaiah McDavid (WR/CB, 5-8, 140 – 3.16 GPA), and linebacker/fullback Arquis Robinson (5-10, 180 – 3.4 GPA).
