Quebec in particular is known for producing high end Division One defensive line prospects and the class of 2025 is no different.
Coming in at an athletic 6’3″ 230lb, Matisse Brosseau Matisse Brosseau 6’3″ | 235 lbs | DL Choate Rosemary Hall | 2025 State New E is one of the top defensive prospects out of Quebec for the class of 2025. Brosseau can play as a defensive end in a 3-4 or a 4-3 defense because of his speed and strength combination. He has experience lining up in both a two and three-point stance. He uses his speed well to rush the passer as well as crash down in run support. Brosseau is excellent at setting the edge as can push offensive tackles back into the quarterback while he maintains outside leverage and keeps contain. He also has a good understanding of how to use his hands to win for offensive tackles. The one area he can improve during his senior season is his Bend as he has shown flashes of a good Bend move, but it often lacks consistency. Despite that Brosseau is a true NCAA Division One prospect who can play in any defense while having the physical tools to produce at the college level.
Coming in at 6’4″ and 285lb, Sammy-Joe Sudah is an absolute force of a defensive lineman. Sudah is a man amongst boys in Quebec as a junior because he possesses a massive frame which gives him unparalleled strength at this level, to go along with a high-end motor and elite hand usage. Primarily lining up at the various defensive tackle positions Sudah is often double and triple-teamed because he can beat interior offensive lineman one-on-one with just his strength and hand moves. He has an array of good pass rush moves to win one-on-one such as the swim move, the chop down, and the rip under move. He also has a relentless motor that allows him to finish on run plays down the field as well as being able to hunt additional sacks due to his effort. Sudah has every tool that every NCAA Division One program covets from defensive tackles and has room to get even better.
Coming in at 6’5″ and 245lb, Raffael Thompson Cazzetta Raffael Thompson Cazzetta 6’5″ | 250 lbs | DL Spartiates Vieux | 2025 State CAD is a ready-made NCAA Division One prospect. Thompson is a fast, athletic defensive end who plays with great strength and possesses a high football IQ. Thompson runs a 4.7s forty-yard dash and it shows on tape. He has a great first-step burst off of the snap that proves too quick for an offensive lineman to stop. He can also move offensive tackles off of their spot with just pure strength and he often controls offensive tackles in the run game as he keeps outside contain while setting the edge. Thompson has a high football IQ as he shows the ability to quickly diagnose whether the play is run or pass and alter his pass rush accordingly. He also has a pass-rush plan coming into every game as opposed to trying to trying to purely overwhelm offensive linemen. Thompson should be highly coveted by NCAA Division One programs as he has every thing a major program could want out of a defensive lineman.

Emmanuel Nwaiwu Emmanuel Nwaiwu 6’4″ | 250 lbs | DL Vanier | 2025 State CAD is another uber-talented defensive lineman out of Quebec who has already garnered NCAA Division One interest with loads offers still to come. Nwaiwu is a fast quick defensive end prospect who can play in both a 4-3 or 3-4 defense. Nwaiwu is electric in pure pass rush situations as he can fly off the line and get into the backfield in an instant. He also has the versatility to move around the defensive line as a weapon in obvious pass-rush situations. He is also good against the run as he is stout enough to set the edge and is a dawg who flies to the ball. He does use his hands on occasion to beat offensive linemen but he doesn’t possess the most diverse arsenal of hand moves but he can improve them. Nwaiwu is a highly touted prospect who already is garnering major Power 5 interest with more offers still to come.

Coming in at 6’6″ and 260lb, Nathan Nyandoro Nathan Nyandoro 6’6″ | 260 lbs | DL Vanier | 2025 State CAD is a massive dominant defensive end prospect. Nyandoro possesses a quick first-step burst off the ball that lets him get upfield instantly. He has great length that allows him to get his hands inside of offensive linemen to control them in run defense. Nyandoro has an arsenal of ways to rush the passer, whether it be with his bend, bull rush, or hand moves. He also has a great motor that makes up for the fact that he doesn’t have great side-to-side agility. Nyandoro is very good at setting the edge and maintains proper leverage on offensive tackles due to his long arms. He also uses his length to knock down passes. Nyandoro has all of the physical tools to be a start at the NCAA Division One level and he still has room to improve on his physical tools.
