With the province of Québec loaded with wide receiver prospects in the forthcoming two recruiting classes, we will provide a combined list of evaluations for the best receivers in Québec.
Nathan Carignan Nathan Carignan 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR Saint-Jean | 2025 State CAD (Cégep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu – Class of 2026) – WR
Nathan Carignan Nathan Carignan 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR Saint-Jean | 2025 State CAD is a flat-out stud at 6’2″ 200lbs, he had an outstanding season as he finished with 57 receptions, 14 touchdowns, and a provincial record of 1171 yards. A prototypical X receiver with an excellent ability to be sudden and drop his hips instantly to get in and out of breaks clean to get additional separation. Carignan has an excellent package of releases to beat the press and quickly stack the corner. He also has tremendous burst and speed that allows him to be a YAC machine on top of being able to win his route vertically. He doesn’t rely solely on his physical tools to win routes; he combines crisp, technically sound route running with his burst to gain even more separation on opposing corners. Carignan was the best receiver in the province as a sophomore this past season and it was no fluke. I fully expect him to be the best receiver in the country this season as a junior and he has the physical tools combined with his on field production to be NCAA Power 5 recruit.
Jazon Bile Jazon Bile 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Vanier | 2025 State CAD (Collège Vanier – Class of 2025) – WR
Jazon Bile Jazon Bile 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Vanier | 2025 State CAD is a great wide receiver prospect who was a provincial all-star as a junior. Listed at 6’0″ 180lbs, Bile has arguably the best hands in the country as he routinely wins at the catch point and he can make the spectacular catch as well. Bile has center-field-like ball tracking ability as he makes over-the-shoulder catches look easy no matter which shoulder the ball is thrown to. While Bile doesn’t possess a quick twitch burst, he does have long speed to win on vertical routes. He also has a good feel for the soft spots in zone coverage which allows him to be available for his quarterback. Bile has the physical tools on top of having great ball skills that make him a NCAA Division One recruit.
Lucas Latendresse Lucas Latendresse 6'3" | 235 lbs | TE Vanier | 2025 State CAD (Collège Vanier – Class of 2025) – WR
Lucas Latendresse Lucas Latendresse 6'3" | 235 lbs | TE Vanier | 2025 State CAD is a ball-winning, physical tools type receiver who can line up and perform at every receiver position. Latendresse comes in at 6’3″ 195lbs. He is excellent at the catch point as he has a large catch radius thanks to his frame and he makes every catch look easy. Latendresse has a unique ability to use his size to out-leverage and box out defenders to catch the ball whenever he doesn’t get separation from his route running. He can work on his ability to get in and out of breaks quickly as he is often a bit stiff on his breaks, if he improves on his breaks he can be an NCAA Division One Prospect.
Alexis Bourque (Cégep Limoilou – Class of 2025) – WR/TE
Alexis Bourque is a true offensive weapon thanks to his speed and 6’3″ 228 lbs frame. Bourque might have a case for the best pass catcher in the 2025 class from Canada because he can line up and play at every skill position on offense due to his speed, strength, and savvy use of his frame. His speed pops on film because he is bigger than most linebackers, and he is often running right by defensive backs on vertical routes. He is also a pretty decent route runner for a receiver as he can get separation based solely on route running. He is also a dawg when it comes to blocking, he is more than willing to ear hole defensive lineman in the run game. Bourque is a true mismatch nightmare for defenses because he is fast, strong, and smart. Bourque has all of the makings of an NCAA Division One recruit.
Trenton Sheppard Trenton Sheppard 6'5" | 215 lbs | WR John Abbott | 2025 State CAD (Collège John Abbott – Class of 2025) – WR/TE
Trenton Sheppard Trenton Sheppard 6'5" | 215 lbs | WR John Abbott | 2025 State CAD is another offensive weapon type player because he has a 4.6s forty-yard dash speed and he is 6’5″ 215lbs. Sheppard is a true X receiver who wins and can win with ease on vertical routes. He has the long speed to win on seam or fade ball but he is also light enough on his feet to get separation on his breaks on any intermediate routes. Since he has such a large frame he possesses a large catch radius which makes him a favorite target of quarterbacks. He is also a tenacious blocker who is more than willing to block in the run game which only adds to his value. Sheppard has all of the tools to garner NCAA Division One offers as a receiver especially if he explodes during his senior season.
