Doing these analyses allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Taj Barnes- Glades Central High c/o 26
6’1 150lbs
Barnes burst on the scene this season. He was the top quarterback in the district as a sophomore throwing for 1350 yards, completed 50% of his passes with 10 touchdowns. He also rushed for 151 yards and 3 touchdowns. Barnes received his first D1 offer last May from Western Kentucky.
Strengths:
- Good feel for pressure
- Athleticism to escape the pocket
- Arm talent to make every throw necessary
Joe Dailey- King’s Academy c/o 25
6’2 185lbs
Dailey is a two-sport (Basketball) athlete and led the Lions to a 9-3 record, district championship, and into the Regional Semifinals of the State playoffs. Dailey finished second in the district in passing with 1141 yards, completing 57% of his passes with 21 touchdowns. He also rushed for 213 yards and 6 touchdowns. Dailey will be one of the top returning quarterbacks in the district next season.
Strengths:
- Throws with nice anticipation and ball placement
- Comfortable throwing on the move
- Sneaky good runner
Robert Green lll- Inlet Grove High c/o 26
6’2 175lbs
Green is a rising junior prospect and is a player to keep an eye on in 2024. He finished third in the district throwing for 527 yards, completing 51% of his passes with 4 touchdowns. I will be keeping an eye on Greens’ progress over the Spring.
Strengths:
- Confident
- Can drop the ball in the bucket on deep shots
- Toughness to stand in the pocket and take hits and deliver with accuracy down the field
Corbyn Aleshire- King’s Academy c/o 25
6’0 160lbs
Aleshire is another talented up-and-coming quarterback in the district, last season he played in 4 games and still finished fourth in the district throwing for 426 yards, completing 67% of his passes with 6 touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown. Aleshire is a a player to keep an eye on this spring.
Strengths:
- Smart (4.11 GPA) on and off the field
- Very productive in limited action
- Has the talent to be a very good quarterback prospect
