Doing these analyses allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Michael Merdinger- Cardinal Gibbons High c/o 24
6’3 200lbs
Merdinger was one of the top quarterbacks in the State last season leading the Chiefs to a 9-4 record, district championship, and into the Regional Finals of the State Playoffs. Merdinger led the district in passing with 2849 yards, completing 56%, with 26 touchdowns. Merdinger signed with University of North Carolina.
Strengths:
- Big-time arm talent to throw ball effortlessly all over the field
- Above average poise and vision
- Shows the ability to get out of the pocket and throw with accuracy
Simeon Caldwell Simeon Caldwell 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB Jacksonville Bolles | 2026 FL – American Heritage High/o 26
6’2 190lbs
Bell is one of the best c/o 26 quarterbacks in the State! The rising sophomore led the Patriots to a 10-2 record, district championship, and into the Final Four of the State Playoffs. Bell finished second in the district throwing for 1929 yards, completing 65% of his passes with 20 touchdowns. He also rushed for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns. Bell has over 24 D1 offers! Regardless of class, he’ll be one of the top returning quarterbacks in the State of Florida next season.
Strengths:
- Talented athlete that can throw with accuracy rolling out to either side of the pocket
- Arm strength to rifle the ball into tight windows
- Beautiful delivery and can drop the ball in the bucket down the seams with accuracy and ball placement
Rueben Toombs- Stranahan High c/o 24
6’1 164lbs
Toombs high school career comes to an end after throwing for over 3800 yards and 36 touchdowns over 3 seasons. Toombs led the Dragons to a 5-6 record and into the State playoffs. He finished third in the district throwing for 1657 yards, completing 60% of his passes with 24 touchdowns! He also rushed for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns. Toombs sign with St.Thomas University on National Signing Day.
Strengths:
- Can use his feet to extend plays
- Arm strength and ball placement on deep throws
- Athletic and can throw on the run
