Doing these analyses allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Jordan Magwood Jordan Magwood 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Seffner Christian | 2025 FL – Carrollwood Day School c/o 25
6’0 180lbs
Magwood was one of the top quarterbacks in the district last season. He was outstanding for the Patriots leading them to a 8-2 record and into the Regional Finals of the State Playoffs. Magwood led the district in passing with 2177 yards, completing 68%, with 22 touchdowns. Magwood also rushed for 234 yards and 3 touchdowns. Magwood currently has 4 Division 1 offers. He’s one of the top returning quarterbacks in the Tampa Bay area.

- Displays the arm talent to zip the ball through tight windows
- He plays with an attacking mindset
- Shows athleticism to throw on the run with accuracy
Jershaun Newton Jershaun Newton 6'0" | 205 lbs | ATH Clearwater Central Catholic | 2025 State FL – Clearwater Central Catholic /o 25
6’0 205lbs
Newton has been one of the best quarterbacks in the State over the last several Newton led the Marauders to a 13-1 record, district championship, and into the State Championship game. This season he finished second in the district throwing for 2084 yards, completing 65% of his passes with 14 touchdowns. The dual-threat prospect also rushed for 1020 yards and 13 touchdowns. Newton currently has over 15 D1 offers.
Strengths:
- Dual-threat quarterback that is very hard to defend because of his ability to run and pass
- Possesses a short compact throwing motion and has the athleticism to maneuver around in the pocket and evade the rush
- Has good speed and acceleration running the ball
Gabe Hagan- Cambridge Christian c/o 26
5’11 180lbs
Hagan is a talented up-and-coming quarterback in the district, last season he finished third in the district throwing for 962 yards, completing 61% of his passes with 11 touchdowns. Hogan is a a player to keep an eye on this spring.
Strengths:
- Flashes accuracy and ball placement on 2nd level throws
- Shows ability to process coverages
- Smart decision maker
Eli Leaver- Chamberlain High c/o 25
5’11 175lbs
Leaver was a off to a really good season before injuries derailed him to only playing in 4 gams this season. Despite injuries, Leaver still finished fifth in the district throwing for 569 yards, completing 65% of his passes with 3 touchdowns. He also rushed for 43 yards (7.2 avg) and a touchdown. Leaver is one of the top returning quarterbacks in the district district next season. As of writing this report, Leaver has since transferred to Chamberlain High. Keep an eye on him coaches!
Strengths:
- Arm talent is evident on film
- Does a good job working off script and using his athleticism to make plays
- Outstanding touch and ball placement on deep shots
Bobby Bonomo- Seffner Christian c/o 26
5’11 168lbs
Bonomo was a first-year starter and showed potential. He finished sixth in the district throwing for 462 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had three rushing touchdowns. As of writing this report, Bonomo has since transferred to Wiregrass Ranch High.
Strengths:
- Shows good zip on throws through narrow windows
- Can use his legs to extend plays
- Throws with accuracy on the run
