The typically surgical Wardell worked through the elements Saturday morning — as the team drew the first three pool-play time slots with some rain still passing through the area — to grit to a 2-1 day, continue building his chemistry with several new receivers and mount clutch drives Sunday in a pair of wins.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='145333' first='Diesel' last='Solari'] — 5-8, 175 RB/ATH — Cecilia (2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wardell spread the ball around to all his weapons, but the versatile Solari was among those who gradually became one of his go-tos as the tournament continued into bracket play. The Cecilia quarterback — and receiver, running back and defensive back — worked out of the backfield and slot to consistently break himself free on shorter and intermediate routes.
